Impressive victories over No. 18 West Virginia and No. 25 USC have boosted Texas A&M up to No. 7 in the AP college basketball poll.

However, the Aggies (7-0) face arguably their toughest test so far tonight against unranked Arizona (5-3) in The Valley of the Sun Shootout in Phoenix at 8 p.m.

A traditional powerhouse, Arizona was ranked No. 2 after getting off to a 3-0 start, but fell out of the rankings after consecutive losses to North Carolina State, SMU and Purdue at the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Free throws. Can't make the ones you need to make and can't miss the ones you need to miss.

No. 7 Texas A&M falls to Arizona 67-64 in Phoenix, and Bill Walton lets viewers know “order is restored.” Walton also tells audience that the best part of the game was that Arizona won. Odd duck no doubt.

How many times did he ask the other announcer, "remind me what your name is again"?

That move on the baseline by Tyler Davis reminiscent of my all-time favorite player, Akeem “Hakeem” Olajuwon. Beautiful.

Tyler Davis was the star, far better player than Robert Williams last night.

That was a highly entertaining basketball game, Bill Walton and all (still can't figure him out). Davis was a grown man. Needed more offensively from Gilder, Hogg and Williams. Wilson was awesome early but didn't do much in the second. Tough loss but not a killer.

Big game tonight for Aggie Hoops. I want to see Rob Williams assert himself offensively against the giant 'Zona front court. Good test for Davis-Williams-Trocha trio vs. twin 7-footers for the Wildcats.

Did not happen, question is what was wrong with Williams in this big game. 7 points on 2-6 shooting...

Dear Bill: I love that you appreciate Hakeem. But other than that WTF are you talking about? Solar?

Bill Walton last night:

"Texas A&M is better than I though" at least 10 times
"Right handed in basketball, left handed in life"
"Why do you hate my grandkids"
"What's the score?"
"This is the best game of the year in college basketball"
"What's your name again?"
"He's from Oil, Louisiana. Now there's a retirement community. Fossil fuels."
" You are watching the future of basketball. This guy will make you believe in evolution!" The other announcer mentioned a couple years ago he doesn't believe in evolution and Walton has never let it go.
"That's failing to prepare and preparing to fail"
"None of these players look hungry to me...in terms of starvation"
"Best game of the year"
"I want to give a ton of credit to Billy Kennedy's wife, Mary."
"It's like trying to find things before you lose them."
"I'm working on English."
"What's going on in my mind?"
"I'm glad they were paying attention. I'm glad somebody was."
What's the score?

We’ve got the lead over Arizona, 31-29 at halftime. Bill Walton is out here smelling colors and seeing sounds.
