The very first national Top 100 for the class of 2020 has debuted and Texas A&M has a commitment ranked very high.
Navasota offensive guard Jordan Jefferson was the first player in the country in the class to make a commitment when he pledged to the Aggies back in February. Now, the 6-foot-2, 295-pound sophomore comes in as the No. 42 overall prospect in the country and the No. 4 player in the state of Texas.
Recruiting is getting earlier and earlier and quite players from the class from all across Texas already have offers. It should be another strong year in the Lone Star State.
The highest-ranked Texan is Aledo running back Jase McClellan at No. 12 overall. The MVP of the state championship game this past season, he has already made an early commitment to Oklahoma.
Others from Texas in the top 100 are Southlake Carroll cornerback RJ Mickens at No. 38, North Shore running back Zachary Evans at No. 40, Waco Connally offensive tackle Trent Pullen at No. 45, Houston North Forest wide receiver Demond Demas at No. 50, Colleyville Heritage athlete Drew Sanders as No. 56, Richmond Foster defensive tackle Chidozie Nwankwo at No. 61, Lancaster cornerback Lorando Johnson at No. 67, New Caney cornerback Dwight McGlothern at No. 70, Round Rock wide receiver Collin Sullivan at No. 80, Duncanville athlete Ja'Quinden Jackson at No. 88 and Weatherford quarterback Ken Seals at No. 92.
