we actually do restrict the size of the images (or we used to atleast). We dont restrict the number of images but I have them hidden so I never see them. :)

We have talked about this before and our solution was to turn off sigs by default so if you really want to view them you can go into your userCP and do it yourself. Of course, now it looks like that that action didn't work.

Personally, I have sigs off. I think they just clutter the site up with useless repetitive information. I really don't like when I'm on campus, not logged in, and I have to read all them.

Something else we can do it remove the ability to have pictures in sigs... so you could only do text. that would clean it up some too but i think people like pictures. I never did get a response back from the vbulletin guys. It should be easy to do (vly probably knows more about limiting by usergroup) but the plan is to make sigs off by default for unloggedin people as well but the 2 code sample changes i got from vbulletin didnt work.

Maybe we should just have a one picture limit on sigs and and not allow .gifs in the sig.

Just for the record. I don't have a problem with Pum's sig. I like seeing everyone sig. For some reason his runs really slow and it drags when I am trying to read the forum. But like I said I'll get through it. If it really bothers me I'll take the advice and turn the sigs off.

his is slow because it has to load so many frames... I like the idea of image size and only one image or something. And by size I mean how much virtual memory it eats.
