I like your site so much that I want to copy one of its features. :cheesy: I'm fairly familiar with php, mysql, and i know a good amount of html....but I can't figure out how you program some tables to expand and contract when you click the arrow on the home page. Can anyone give me some hints.

If you want to see what from Aggiefans has influenced my programming, check out my site, www.hollismiles.com (http://www.hollismiles.com). It's my "blog" and homepage that I use to experiment on new website techniques.

P.S. Source code didn't help me.

Awesome! Jag will have to answer the question though. I'm just the graphics guy :cheesy:

Your PS is the number 1 way I code (by taking it from somewhere else and modifying it enough to make it my own)

<a href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('module_50')" style="float:right"><img alt="" border="0" id="collapseimg_module_50" src="http://www.aggiefans.com/forums/images/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif" /></a>

There is the html for the code but it references a javascript code somewhere.... i will have to dig through the php files to find that so give me some time to find it. (trying to edit the podcast as well right now)

no rush, changing my sites format will be a project i'll be working on here at work over the next week or so...work on the podcast if you have to choose between the two

I still wonder if we should go back to our classic tan color as the default for this website....

hmiles619
10-06-2006, 01:05 PM
I think the old color is great....makes the site seem cleaner

10-06-2006, 01:26 PM
I think it'd look good like that

hmiles619
10-06-2006, 01:26 PM
I also like the old logo better

TwelfthAG
10-06-2006, 01:29 PM
The problem with the old logo is we don't have the source file so can't manuipulate it easily for things such as that advertisment in Aggieland Illustrated.

I think the old logo worked with that tan color better...

Vlyrock
10-06-2006, 01:29 PM
And I do have the source files for the old logo... :D I didn't know you needed them.

TwelfthAG
10-06-2006, 01:31 PM
Seriously? Like the photoshop files?

hmiles619
10-06-2006, 01:31 PM
seriously vlyrock? even i caught that conversation a while back

TwelfthAG
10-06-2006, 01:34 PM
There are a lot of problems with the logo we use now though. For one, the words are pretty small.

Vlyrock
10-06-2006, 01:34 PM
I think they're Illustrated files actually, but yes I do have it Photoshop files too...

I don't remember that conversation at all. :D

hmiles619

I think they spent a few hours looking for it and stressing about it

hmiles619

I think a white theme would look good for the site.
