Looks like it'll be more likely as the game goes on http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/vacationplanner/wxdetail/77845?dayNum=5

Rain games at Kyle are fun. With pass happy Tech in town, it might be a good thing to have some rain around. I know we can run the ball down their throats no matter what the weather is like, but they won't be able to move the ball if it is raining.

As long as I actually remember a rain jacket I don't care if it's a flood

i would have brought mine last weekend, but didn't even know there was a chance of rain until i was already headed to C.S.
this afternoon game probably won't matter though, but the night and wind was sucking after i sat through the rain waiting for the game to start.
it was fun sitting in the rain though. and the game was great!

I was already tailgating while it was super sunny when I found out it was supposed to pour. I live too far from campus to fight traffic to make it worthwhile. I used to bring a rainjacket to every game and only needed it once for I think KU in 2003 so I gave that up this season. Figures I would need it this year...

What do you need a jacket for. Rain is good for you :gig:

I'm still sick...I've missed almost all classes last week and my doctor wants me to be a good bit better before I go back this week, but I'm not missing Aggie football. There were points last game after I was rained on I wanted a sweatshirt. Stupid chills...hmph...this is beginning to really suck.

Clearly, y'all haven't seen Leach do the weather. They don't care if its raining, blowing, or hailing, they'll always throw it around. Someone has to have that video.

This new batch of aggies fans are pretty wimpy. When I was going to school it rained every home game. We didn't need no stinking raincoats.

I don't know that I'd want to play Tech on a wet field. They're going to pass no matter what and the way they work on catching passes, they're going to be good at that wet or dry.
The problem is that taking on those receivers once they have the ball on a wet field is going to be a mess.

I'm sure they can catch golf balls thrown at them but can harrel throw a wet ball and plant and throw on a wet field (public announcement: kyle has one of the best drainage systems in the country and the field won't really get muddy. It'd have to actually be raining to affect the game a great deal)

I'm betting he can throw in the rain, particularly the dink and dunk stuff they do.
Given the way Army misdirected you guys on defense, I would not look forward to seeing Tech on a wet field, good drainage or not.

how do you misdirect on a pass? sprint out screens?

They don't have to use misdirection to take advantage of the kinds of the kinds of weaknesses it exposes.

The misdirection was effective because of our over pursuit. Route running has nothing to do with that.

Um. Wrong. This is in part how you guys beat Oklahoma with Reggie back when they were ranked number one.
But in any event, the fact that their receivers will be scrambling in the open field underneath your secondary on wet turf is going to be a problem.

Did you learn that in turfgrass?
