Locking this because until fran is fired threads like this are useless.

1. Fran has 4 wins and looks to probably go to a bowl this year.
Gary Kubiak in his first year with the Texans is really stinking up the
joint.
2. Next year Fran is gonna fall flat on his face and the former students
give him the boot.
Gary Kubiak has another terrible year and is shown the door by McNair.
3. In a move reminicant of U.S.C. the Aggies give Kubiak a shot as head
coach.

2 Years later we are National Champs for the next three years!

Happy Days are here again.

Hang in there folks, it's just gonna take a few more years. :gig: :gig:

points?

FYI. if Coach Fran is fired after this season or next, it will take 5-6 more years to have a great winning season. all of Coach Fran's kids will have to graduate and the new coach will have to get HIS players into the system.

Kubiak isn't the problem in Houston. OL and DL line talent is the problem, along with M. Williams proving to be more hype than heart.

That's bull, it only took Sherrill three years to beat t.u. and 4 to win the SWC.

R.C. did it in a shorter period of time.

Stoops at O.U. did it in three.

Your logic is flawed.

Fran had a problem with R.C.'s boys, He had the base and NEVER used it to it's fullest potential.

RC also didn't have to recruit against in conference rivals who recently had MNC's

That's a horrible excuse, he had to recruit against the rest of the nation and was able to come up with toop 3 and in some instances #1 recriuiting classes.

Try again, Kubiak will be here in 2 years, just you wait and see.

not that im jumping on the bandwagoon of firing fran... i believe that he is very capable of bringing us back to a national power

I'm not jumping on the bandwagon either, i've never gotten off, my point is that this could be a U.S.C. turnaround.

How bad or rather happy would you be if I was actually right. Three Nat'l Championships under a new regime in the next 6 years isn't a stretch.

Uhhhhh...when Fran arrived at College Station, he found players there that he had passed over while at TCU.

The base WAS NOT there. Look at Alabama, Fran used "the base" just fine. Slocum was axed because he was losing the recruiting wars.

I'm defending Fran....the jury is still out...but he inherited a mess.

thats understandable, but he definitely needs to get something done now that he has had four years of recruiting HIS players... if he doesn't compete against the big dogs of the big XII, then theres a problem

Three Nat'l Championships under a new regime in the next 6 years isn't a stretch.

How many teams have won three national championships over a 6 year period?

I think you are dreaming. Kubiak won't be fired from the Texans for at least 4 or 5 years, and he'd have to REALLY screw-up which would go against everything he did in Denver.

Fran may not be the answer, but Kubiak won't be available to see if he is. Besides that, if Kubiak get fired from Houston, then his stock will be WAY down and he won't be given high consideration.
