Hmmmm..... When was the last time no Big 12 team was in the Top 5?

Nebraska, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Louisville deserve a higher ranking IMO.

How do they justify dropping Clemson out? How do they justify moving tehc up?

How do they justify dropping Clemson out?

Because Boston College is not as good as they were last year. Clemson was expected to win this game.

Lots of badass games next week.

I don't think they moved up as much as other teams ahead of them fell back.

USC had a bye week and is number two. I don't think any team that has a bye week should move up in the polls.

Last year, A&M was ranked after our loss to Clemson, and then we dropped out of the polls during our bye week.

I don't see how any team should move up or down during a bye week. USC was rewarded for their bye week. We were punished for our bye week. How does that make sense?

It's life in the big city baby!! Ya gotta let the good roll with the bad.

they were #3 last week and since the #2 team lost, someone has to move up to number 2. it actually makes a lot of sense.

Ok but ND won hands down against Penn State. Don't you think that their game should count more than USC's bye week?

Conspiracy theory suggests that its build up for next weeks game against Nebraska.

why would ND go from #5 to #2 with a win over a team that is not ranked now. sure penn state was ranked #19. but for ND to jump past wvu and auburn (which they did in this week's poll) and to jump over usc in one week is crazy. like i said it is pretty logical.......... usc was #3 last week, the #2 team lost so it only makes since that the #3 team from last week moves up to #2.

Well, the jury is still out on ND. They barely beat GT but put it on PSU. Looks like the pollsters decided that PSU was overrated since they moved 'em out of teh top 25.

But then you're punishing USC for their bye week by letting a team jump them that they were ranked ahead of. Anytime anybody moves up or down, somebody else is affected (bye week or not) -- it's just part of the game.

Louisville, possibly.

I really think Nebraska is going to take one on the chin next week in LA.

Tennessee struggled with AF.

VaTech is VaTech. Played impressively, but everyone knows they're not real.

USC's defense is stout this year and they create a LOT of TO's. Carroll has had a week off to prepare. . .

This is going to be Nebraska's first game with a team of USC's calibre in a long, long, time. They haven't seen anything this year to prepare them, either.

and usc destroyed arkansas there.... i would put arkansas and nebraska pretty close on the talent of the team and neb is going to usc so it should be just as bad as the arkie game.

Nebraska and Arkie are nowhere near the same on talent. Arkie has a good defense but they had to bring in a freshman QB and the RB is hurt. Way different.
