The greatest game i've EVER had the privelage to watch was when the aggies beat SMU in 1985. It was a night game and my fifth year. SMU was still a major powerhouse, but would get the death penality after the season. We were on ESPN, infact we wound up on ESPN quite a bit that year. In the 4th quarter, the aggies decided to kick a three pointer. Who do they bring out but Eric Franklin, brother of the greatest kicker EVER, Tony Franklin, one of the first barefooted kickers, and aggie great, along with a great pro with the New England Patriots. Eric walks out and kicks a wobbler thru the goal post and we go ahead by two I think. We still had 4 or 5 minutes left and SMU was driving. With just a few minutes left, they lined up to kick a three pointer which would give them the lead, and probably the victory. I'll never forget, I tell my roommate, "We're gonna block that kick, I feel it." You could feel the electricity in the air, infact i'm getting chills just thinking about this moment. The ball was snapped and a maroon blur comes thru the offensive line, and blocks the kick. Domingo Bryant lay on the ground holding his family jewels, but the kick was blocked. The place erupted, it was pandemonium. We beat SMU, and that we knew we were on the road to the Cotton bowl. We would then beat the hillbillies of Arkansas, and then my second favorite game, the t.u. game, were it would rain cotton from the decks of kyle field.

Now the worst. I was a youngster in 1975, the Aggies were undefeated going into our last game against #18 Arkansas. We had just beaten #5 t.u. The day of the game, number 1 Ohio State had lost, and the aggies were 2nd in the nation. We made the cover of Sports Illustrated, which is a major jinx, I believe Curtis Dickey or Bubba Bean was on the cover. My dad and I, along with a buddy of mine and his dad both of who were longhorn fans, were deer hunting. I'll never forget it, it was cold that day in November, and all I could think about out in the stand was the aggies. We get back to the ranch house, and I run to the t.v. I turn on ABC and check the scores. I am anxious and want to see how bad we beat Arkansas. 6-31, Arkansas upsets the aggies! I was 12 years old, and was devistated. I started to cry, and I mean cry. My buddy was laughing at me and the aggies defeat, and all I could do was cry like a baby. No one in my family had gone to TAMU, in fact my mother was an alumni of SMU.
That was a defining moment for me, and I knew I was bound for TAMU.

2nd worst memory, turning on the radio and finding out that the Aggies who were ranked #1 in playboy's preseason poll, and top three in others loses to Southwest Lousisana, now known as Univ La La. After that I had it in for R.C.:(

Worst moment was when the stack collapsed.
Worst moment on the field was in 1975 against Arkansas. Unfortunately the tv money was too good to pass up on, so Emory agreed to move the game to December 6.

Best moment was my very first Aggie game as a kid. My Dad took me to the A&M-Illinois game in 1975. Talk about a wide eyed little boy, that was me.

2nd best, vs. OU in 2002 and beating tu in 99.

I think he was talking about worst football moment, but who am I to say.

If thats the case, it would be losing to those crazy ass rajun cajuns in '96. It was my fish year & we had gone over to a guy's place who used to live in the dorm. Real Red Ass guy. Had been a Red Pot, loved everything A&M. He threw a freaking remote through his TV screen when that game ended.

Beating t.u. in '99 was easily the best because of what it meant to this school. But I'll never forget hearing Dave South, "HE GOT A TOUCHDOWN! HE GOT A TOUCHDOWN! HE GOT A TOUCHDOWN! HE GOT A TOUCHDOWN ON THE NEAR SIDE OF THE FIELD!!!!" HA Automatica Gramatica my ASS!! Eat that Big XII Championship Muffberger!

My first game was the last time we played West Point. My uncle was a cadet there, and the entire corps from West Point came down. I was sitting amongst all these yankees from West Point cheering for the Aggies. The Aggies of course get beat.

I had always kept up with the Aggies, but I never really got into until my fish year(fall '04). I'm a first generation Aggie, so I wasn't raised on this stuff like most of y'all were.

The worst moment for me was the 2004 Baylor loss. I was watching UNC upset Miami, thinking that that would be the upset of the year. Then, the ticker at the bottom read: "Texas A&M 34, Baylor 33" and "priority score alert". The "33" flipped to a "35" and said "final." I literally felt a sick pain in my stomach. My RA on the 3rd floor in Aston had "I want to punch coach fran in the face" on his marker board outside his room. He refused to speak to anyone that night. That night was awful.

The best was probably when Reggie McNeal broke off for that 65 yard run against K-State in 2004. At the time, K-State was the defending Big 12 Champions, and I really didn't think we would win. Darren Sproles, who was touted as a Heisman candidate at the time, was manhandled by the Aggie defense. We dominated the first half, but then gave up a big lead and found ourselves up by only 5 and at 3rd and long. Reggie runs a QB sweep and just leaves the safeties eating his dust. Kyle Field erupted, chanting "Reg-gie, Reg-gie, Reg-gie."

Best memory is either Sir Parker's run to win the Big 12 Championship or Brian Gamble on his knees during the '99 t.u. game.

Worst memory is 77-0 and the loss to the ragin' cajuns in '96.

Please, it is Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns

Thanks. Hate to put y'al in the same group with that group from Baton Rouge. I have to much respect for your fine university and would not want to do that.

best moment is a tie with the win in the big 12 champ. (I was there) or the win over nebraska the same year (also there) Both huge games in 98. Worst would have to be the 77-0 ou game

Best memory was winning the Big 12 Championship. I remember walking out of my dorm room just a few seconds after that happened and you could hear everyone around campus screaming.

Worst memory was loosing to Penn state in the Alamo Bowl. I think that score was 55-0 or something like that. I really don't remember because my cousin and I decided to drink heavily around halftime.
