for those that updated to beta 1 the new one seems quite a bit faster (im actually kinda suprised because beta 1 was already pretty damn fast) and it also likely works better with inpage media players (which we use in the downloads sections/aggiefansTV)

Also add library sharing (the vista versions have had it from day 1 but now the xp version of wmp11 now has library sharing)

Still pissed I dont see podcast/blogcasting support.

You have the option of rippng to mp3 as well as wma. That is pretty frigging sweet.

hell yeah... as soon as they add podcast support icrap is getting uninstalled forever on my computers (or atleast until they make major revisions to it) because the library management already blows everything else out of the water (and its not even close). I like how they use coverart to manage your collection (and how easy they make it to get coverart for your music)

you really should try wmp... its much better and faster (esp with this new version). Once you get the coverart put in (which is a necessity in wmp11 because of the graphical look it has)

my collection is 24 gigs and a few thousand songs and wmp handles is perfectly.

http://winsupersite.com/reviews/wmp11.asp (a review of the graphical ui and hes smoking crack on the tag editor.... you can do everything you can in the itunes get info and probably some other stuff)

Looks slick, but I'm not noticing anything different in function. But, then again, only only use it to watch video files.

i love the new library browser.

exactly... with a large library (like I have the new library manage function is the best there is and its attributed to the coverart.... i really like the "digital stacks" too. its a little graphical thing but it ads alot to letting you know there is more stuff in that section.) and they have the best mini-mode ive seen.

also fyi the new gui is used in the inpage webbrowsers. So it will likely give you the best performance with aggiefansTV and the downloads section. (so thats reason enough to get it)
