Is the new jumbotron at Texas really the biggest? I know it's dimensions are incredible, but all it shows is two screens side-by-side.

If you cut the width of the screen in half, is their screen really the biggest? It really is just two jumbotrons next to each other.

It's the biggest HD screen in the world. They are only using maybe a quarter though for the game. The rest is all ads. It's all one big widescreen.

It has never been brought up but our screen is from Mitsubischi(sp) which is a pretty huge brand while thiers is from some fly by night brand that you get from Walmart.

So you might be able to argue quality over quanity. or something. i don't know it's pretty late and i have been drinking.

Talk about a waste of space...... WAY TO MANY ADS.... if they couldn't afford it, they shouldn't have built it so big..... Now they gotta put up those ads.

Actually theres is Daktronics, the leading brand in scoreboards in video boards.

The screen is basically split into thirds.

33% screen used to show the game
33% screen used to say what's on the screen(and show a logo)
33% screen used for nothing but ads

It is pretty gross looking, but I thought I heard someone say that they will use the left and right halves together as one for replays and stuff, EVENTUALLY. don't know if thats true or not, but they still have too much ad space.
