$25 Up For Grabs
The Belmont Stakes will be run this Saturday, and for the first time in several years, there's no Triple Crown bid up for grabs. Thanks to Aggiefans.com, the race doesn't have to lose any of its appeal. We're running the last of our 3 race contest in which there's a guaranteed $25 for the winner. The rules are as follows:
You must select 4 horses. Win, Place, Show (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) with a 4th place finisher as your tie-breaker. If you should end up tied with somebody after the first 3 horses, whoever's 4th horse finishes better in the field will win. If both players are tied and have select the same 4th place horse, a tie-breaker will be determined later (probably selecting a stat or score in an upcoming Aggie Athletic event).
The point system is as follows:
25 points for correct Winner (1st)
15 points for correct Place (2nd)
5 points for correct Show (3rd)
1 point for any of your top 3 finishing in the top 3 but not in the same position you predicted
(example, your first place winner finishes second - you get one point)
There is a 10 point bonus for getting consecutive horses right (1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd)
Most points wins, tiebreakers are settled as per above.
