West Virginia lost 2.3 million last year? They're gonna have to make some cuts. http://www2.indystar.com/NCAA_financial_reports/expense_stat/show?school_id=56

You can thank Title IX for effectively hurting college sports across the nation.

A BCS bowl win, a basketball team in the Sweet 16 (or 32) and they still lose millions.

The money for the BCS game won't show up on the '05 books.

And gets split up amongst the whole conference right?

The Massacre

so the Big East had a BCS representative last year right? Then the money was on the books

No because that money doesn't show up until the '06 season after the games are played...at least that is the way it should be. They will have a BCS payout as a result of the '05 season in '06.

But the Big East should've been getting a BCS payout from having a representative since they started the BCS because they've always had a representative.

I was referring to Vly's post referencing a BCS win. I don't know what the Big East did the year before in their BCS game. Thats not what I was talking about.

the big east conference winner is always in a BCS game, just like the big xii, acc, big 10, pac 10, sec. so they would have the money each year no matter what. as far as when it show on the books, it would all depend on the fiscal year wvu operates on, not the actual year the even took place.

but being a big east school regardless of the fiscal year it would "A" BCS Bowl monies would show on the books.
