Texas A&M = 9, tu = 1, tech = 18,ou = 31
9. Texas A&MThis isn't the best line in the Big 12, but it's not far off improving night and day after a shaky 2004. Four starters return with plenty of talented options to fill the one guard opening. All four returning players should be in the hunt for All-Big 12 honors led by tackle Yemi Babalola and guard Kirk Elder on the quick side. This group allowed a mere 16 sacks last season and paved the way for 235 rushing yards per game

I agree with everything except the receiver rankings. We have, by far, the deepest talent pool at the WR position in the Big XII. With a speedster like Schroeder, & big guy like Riley, & a do all guy like Magic (not to mention what Joey & 'Tellus bring to the table) I would put them up against any other crew in the conference. Then you throw in Kerry Franks speed, and the talent that Morrow & Brown have & you are already 6 deep & really haven't lost any talent. I think our WRs corps will surprise a lot of guys this year.

but you have to take at least half a point or more from each guy returning from an injury. I'm pretty confident they'll come back strong but you never know.

why does superaggie have a fresno state pic?
He wanted his own Avatar but wont pay to be able to post it....
now that's funny....BTW...everybody who gets paid to say about anything College Football says tehc has the best rec corps in the Big 12. Surely, with our group we're better than 44, though!

Tech has Filani & Hicks who are both game-breaking WRs. I said that we have the deepest talent pool at the WR position. I wouldn't take any of our WRs over Filani or Hicks but you could take our #3 through 8 & put them as the #3 WR for tech. We don't have the big name guy but we are much deeper IMO.
Doesnt that by definition make theirs better than ours?(cant believe I ever wrote that)...
good Lord I cant wait until we actually have something to discuss....Anybody got anything good or new on recruiting??

Well, it depends on what you are using to determine what is better. A piece isn't greater than the whole. They have two guys that are better than our best but I would say that we have 8 guys that are better than their #3. I wasn't saying that we should have been ranked 1st in the Big XII. I was just saying that we are the deepest. Its all a matter of perspective, but either way there is no way we are ranked 44 in the nation at the WR position.
No question we're better than 44th.

D line: #47
I don't buy that b/c they have Okie State, Texas Tech, Colorado, Iowa State, Mizzou, OU, and t.u. and Nebraska ahead of us. Phil Steele has us with the #17 D line.

That may be too high. I think they put way too much weight on one player rather than the entire unit. Based on where they have the WRs, DL, & LBs ranked it is clear they aren't looking at the entire 2 deep.

If our defense is the #56 D in the nation this year, we win 10 games.

I think after they get past the top 20, they just throw every one else in a hat and draw names to get the rest.
