The first guy said "product of the system" was one of the reasons being a bad Heisman pick, but didn't put Andre Ware on his list(who defines "product of the system").

I didn't know John David Crow only played 7 games. Plus he got less then 600 yards total. Uh...... nevermind.

I'm with you on that one, i didn't know his stats weren't that impressive during his Heisman campaign, but obviously he must have done something extraordinary b/c they did select him over other players.

I think part of the reason John David Crow won in 1957 was that no one was spectacular in 1957 (runner-up was a DT). Crow was an established superstar who shined in the games he did play, which made him the best candidate in a weak year. No one deserved it more at the time.
