I'm sitting here watching the SF Giants (on ESPN), excited because even though we've lost about 8 in a row, we're still getting TV love, but I realized I've supported losers this year (except the Spurs and Ags).

I'm a big Hornets fan in basketball. Well, we're picking 4th in the draft. Buffalo Bills had a surprising season in the NFL, but still missed the playoffs. The Giants are floundering without Bonds. I'm sure if the NHL were going on, the Sabres would be losing too.

I hope this doesn't carry over to Fall when the Ags take on Clemson. :(

How in the samhell (always wanted to say samhell) did your favorite teams come from NY, TX, and NC. Im guess you lived in Buffalo if you like the Sabres also, but that doesn't explain basketball.

Nope...I got my favorite teams because:

1) Buffalo Bills -- when I was young, watched the Bills/Cowboys regular season game and the Bills intercepted a Cowboys pass in the endzone as time expired. I thought it was such a good finish and really liked the Bills players, so adopted them as my favorite team. I've liked them since early 90's or late 80's (ever since I could have my own opinion about my favorite team - and not like what my family liked).

2) Sf Giants -- Used to love Matt Williams and Will Clark. Used them in Sega and Nintendo sports and have just always loved watching the Giants.

3) New Orleans Hornets -- The Hornets became an expansion team when I first really got into basketball ('89). I've rooted for them since their inception and days of JR Reid, Grandmama (Larry Johnson), 'Zo Mourning, Muggsy Bogues, etc. When they moved to New Orleans, I decided to stick with them instead of staying with the Bobcats.

4) San Antonio Spurs -- Lived there...watched them. Really liked David Robinson and the character he displayed. Saw most Spurs were great characters and good role models (and they played great basketball). So, I adopted my hometown team as my favorite team when they're not playing the Hornets.

5) Buffalo Sabres -- Never really liked hockey, but started watching it come playoff time. Supported the Sabres because of the Bills...then got into it when Hasek was there and the other good teams of the late '90s early '00s. I'm not a Dallas fan, and there's no other Texas teams to support. (hate Dallas again, because of Buffalo) :D

And that's my story. Oh, and I never lived in Buffalo.

Have you seen each team play a home game? or at all live?

I've seen the Giants and Hornets live. Haven't caught the Bills live because they only come down to Texas once every 8 years (but it's more now because of Houston's expansion). They come as close as New Orleans this year -- and I'm thinking hard about road trippin'.

Haven't been to any of their home stadiums/parks/arenas, but want to. Have never seen the Sabres (it's the NHL!). Been to 50+ Spurs games.
