Is this a chick movie or not?

Ok....I have not seen it but a friend of mine who can't stand that main actor didn't really mind the movie.

He said it was a chick-flick.

I've heard both...I've heard it's got too much baseball to be a chick flick, and too much chick flick to be a baseball movie.

Can't stand Jimmy Fallon? He was hilarious on SNL when he was on it. :D

I am not a big fan of Fallon's at all.

He had some good and bad skits, imo.

This movie breaks my heart, because I am such a big fan of Nick Hornby (High Fidelity, About a Boy). This movie was made once before in 1997 in the UK, and the whole thing was centered around soccer. Then, the Red Sox Curse story happened and the movie was re-written to co-incide (sp?) around that.

It is a chick-flick, but a VERY tolerable one. Its just sad that they messed up Hornby's writing so bad. Its the equivalent of what they did to Michael Crichton with The Lost World.

Everyone should see High Fidelity though. Especially if you are a music fan.

I watched it and I thought it was good. It had just enough funny and sports moments to drown out the features of a chick flick.
