You can hate on this guy's game and use the excuse that the only reason why he is good is because he is big, but you have to give him some credit. He is always willing to help out others on his team and/or anyone that may need it. Example #1: He buys his team gifts when he wins a championship. Example #2: He bought a equipment manager a car because he needed transportation. And the latest Example #3: He has offered to pay for all of the expenses for the funeral of George Mikan (a NBA great) because he knows that their family is having trouble with finances.

Very kind of him. Mikan was a hoops legend. He was even commissioner of the old ABA. The league that brought out the red, white and blue ball.
The ABA never got a patent on that design.

That is very nice of Shaq. I like Shaq alot, I think he has a great sense of humor, and he just has a good attitude, something that seems to be a rarity in today's NBA. I saw Shaq on that show MTV cribs, and he seems to be a great dad, spends alot of time with his children. He calls his pool, Shaqapulco and did a canon ball for the camera. To learn that he has a good heart and is generous is all the more reason to like the guy.
