On my Vegas trip next week I can get my room totally comped for free at Harrahs or The Rio for Sat to Mon but the group I'm going with wants to stay at the Hard Rock so bad that were paying 125 bucks/night a room and we have three rooms booked.

With 4 guys a room it's only 30 bucks a night but still...

Not that it matters. It's to celebrate a promotional exam we have on friday and since were all going to get promoted and rich it won't matter. :undecided

No kidding. They must believe that they are going to be made of money.

Did these guys go to tu or tech. Sounds a lot like the alternative math programs taught at these schools.

Top of my head.... Two Aggies (including myself), One each from UT and Tech. One from Trinity and the rest (most) from Texas St and UTSA.

And they probably DO think they are made of money but once the city of SA fixes this SCBA problem we are having most of the overtime we are having will be gone and instead of making 70k a year we'll be back to our normal salary.

And word on the street is that the new BAs are coming in next week. So, uh, hope they had a plan for those new 40k trucks alot of them bought the last two years or so. I told them that all those Captain/Chief Sized paychecks we have been getting wouldn't last forever.

Kudos for the few (including myself) who took the this opportunity to focus on getting rid of debt instead. Thanks to probably one of the city of SA's biggest screw ups my only debt now is one credit card and my jeep with only 16 months left. And that my, friends, is ****ing badass. And that is STILL with pocketing some coin for a few surfing and snowboard trips this summer and winter. Boo YA!

EDIT: Oh, and my student loan. Damn that thing. I always forget about it. It's only 40 bucks a month, though.
