Two things on the Packers:
1) Reggie White's #92 is going to be retired during their home opener against the Cleveland Browns September 18.

2) Is Brett Favre going to be excused from playing every game this season? ;)

He didn't participate in mini-camp, now it's passing drills time, and he's excused again. I know that his wife has cancer and that's his reason for requesting this time, but I just wonder if this will hurt him and his productivity this season. I know he's a seasoned pro (probably the most seasoned ever), but you still have to get out there and go through the motions to regain the confidence/familiarity. You can't just jump in after 9 months and expect to pick up where you left off.

I think that Brett can get all the time of he wants after his great career in Green Bay. From a football standpoint it very well could hurt him not going to camp and working with the rookies and new free agents, but I'm pretty sure he has the offense down pretty solid but his body probably needs to get out and warm up before the preseason starts.

Not letting Brett Favre do what he wants in GB is like signing a death warrent. They are fanatical in their devotion. I've visted up there and its really damn scary.

Brett will be fine. The Green Bay Aggies should be back in the playoffs this year.
