QB OR WR?: The Bengals' top two receivers, Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh, said they were excited about the addition of sixth-round draft pick Reggie McNeal, who played quarterback at Texas A&M but will be placed at wide receiver by the Bengals.
"Is he playing receiver?" Houshmandzadeh said of McNeal. "I think he can play quarterback, but you know how they do African-American guys? They want to move him to receiver because he's fast. It's the truth. I think he can play quarterback. He looked good to me in college.
"You know, if that's the case (McNeal plays receiver), yeah, he'll learn. Maybe we can do him like (Antwaan) Randle El. He's faster than Randle El; he's a better thrower than Randle El."
Randle El played quarterback in college at Indiana but has played primarily receiver as a pro.

There is some truth to that. Reggie has great skills as a passer, but because he's so fast they want to make him move. If he had the same passing stats, but was slow, he would've been drafted as a QB.

uh there is zero truth to that. Reggie couldn't hit the broad side of Kyle Field, of course the throw would be going 50mph just over the flag pole. he doesn't have great skills. He can't throw the deep ball, he either overthrows by a mile or underthrows and makes the WR wait. TMurph should have had atleast 8 more TD's but Reggie couldn't throw. he is not a QB on a pro team. He was good in college because he could buy time, run the ball, and hit an occasional open WR

Nice first junior high-ish post. He might've had the best stats, but he wasn't the winningest QB we've ever had. He was the most talented & also the most disappointing QB.

I couldn't agree more Dustin

I agree. Most talented and most disappointing. I think with some new coaches he could be a great NFL QB, but he's athletic enough to be good at WR or RB or KR, if that's what they want.

My honest opinion is that I'm not sure he is durable enough to be KR. I'm not sure he can take the hits constantly that those guys seem to take. He definately has the athletic ability as far as agility and speed, but i just think he might be a little fragile to be an NFL returner
