The human windmill has now struck out in 7 straght ABs. The record is 9 times in a row. He could make history tonight!!! I really wish we hadn't signed this guy.

Ya beat me to it. Someone can take down my thread.

What is the record for strikeouts in a season? He has got to be on pace to beat that.

Adam Everett had been doing really well this year. He has more RBI's than Wilson!

Yeah, he is hitting the ball to all parts of the field. Love to see him swinging a sweet stick to go with that smooth glove.

I can't find the record for strikeouts in a season. I think Jose Hernandez or Richie Sexton holds the record & I think its right around 200, but I can't find the actual numbers.

I think I found it...Adam Dunn, 195, in 2004.

Well Wilson sure has a chance to break that. Atleast he finally got a hit.

Yeah, Ol' Preston isn't wasting any time. He failed the first time, only striking out 7 times in a row. But thats what I like about him. You are going to fail, at times, when trying to make history. But you can't let that keep you down. You have to pick yourself, & get right back at it. And thats exactly what he did. With is 4 Ks last night he only needs 5 more to tie the record. Luckily for him, he has a day off to collect his thoughts, regain his focus, & get into the right mindset.

Friday he will face off against Zach Duke. The good thing for Preston is that he is playing at home, so you know he will be swinging his ass off trying to plant one in that shallow porch in LF. Also, Duke tends to be around the strike zone quite a bit, so we shouldn't have to worry about Preston drawing a BB. Duke has 11 Ks in 18 innings of work, which isn't stellar, but that should be good enough to get Preston to K at least twice. The problem might come when the 'stros get to that pathetic Bucks bullpen.

If the 'stros put up a lot of runs, Preston could tie the record tomorrow night.

Look at it this way Drayton didn't have to break the purse strings and he still has got a player who will consistantly chase history

Hey Polish,

How are your Braves doing this year? ;)

Actually really well considering 3/4 of our starting infield in out. We just took 2 of 3 from the Mets. Of the last 5 years we have never led the divison at the end of april. The Braves are in for the long haul, not the short term. :gig:

I know. I just just giving you **** since they are .500 and the Astros are 10-5. I don't think the Mets will be able to keep up their pace and I think that Atlanta will probably win the division again. Houston has really surprised me so far, especially considering how bad the middle relief has been. The 'stros hitters are absolutely crushing the ball. Now if Clemens will just come back mid season, I see Houston having a good shot at making it back to the WS.

Preston holds true to form...1st inning, K looking! Only 4 more to go to tie the record.

Gonna be hard to keep Wilson in the lineup is Burke keeps playing like he did on Sunday.
