The final decision is between Atlanta and Houston. Do Houstonites want the Big Game there again? I always want the Super Bowl in Texas. The Cowboys will probably get it pretty soon also with the new stadium. :)

I don't see how it could come back to Houston that soon, but I wouldn't be surprised. It seems like they're in San Diego and Miami every other year.
Now, I'm gonna hijack the thread and take it in a different direction. :D
I still don't understand why the Super Bowl isn't played at home sites.
I mean, the season ticket holders get screwed the most...if you support your team through all the regular season and playoffs, why shouldn't you get to support them if they've earned home field advantage? The NFL is the only league that plays the championship at a neutral site.
I know weather has to do with it, but then why not play the playoffs at a neutral site? Fans will pack stadiums regardless for the Super Bowl. I know if I was a Patriot season ticket holder, I'd be bummed I never got to see them play the Championship in person.

The weather can affect how many people show up. Could you imagine a Super Bowl where only 20,000 people showed up, that wouldn't be good for tv.
Now back on topic
Give Houston the Super Bowl Dammit!

You have stadiums packed in Pittsburgh and NE for Conference Championship games...I guarantee you they'd be packed for the Super Bowl.
Can you imagine some of the amazing games that would result because of weather? Snow Super Bowls, etc? That'd be awesome!
And yes, I think Houston may get it in 2009 just because I heard the results from that year's Super Bowl went well for the NFL and I'm not sure if Atlanta could match it. Atlanta is playing in an older stadium (GeorgiaDome if I'm not mistaken)...but I think you're right in thinking the Cowboys will get one with a new stadium. I think they would award this one to them instead of having 2 in Texas that are near each other.

No doubt that would be cool, but i mean what if a blizzard or severe ice storm came up and people couldn't get to the stadium. If they postponed the Super Bowl, it would screw up alot of **** and the game would look wierd empty

True....but I still think it's unfair to season ticket holders (unless they were offered seats at the Super Bowl).
Oh, and to keep it on topic...yes, Houston may get Super Bowl.

I love Philly's stadium and such but the fact remains that the Super Bowl should be played in a nice place and/or dome for fair play.

Dallas will get one at the Jerry Jones Stadium soon after it's built. 2012 or so. Houston will have a great shot at the 2009 game.

I think it is possible. The NFL loved the staff that Houston had at the Super Bowl so much that they had some of their staff go help work the Super Bowl this past January.

I hope Houston gets the Superbowl cause it helps the state bring in more money.

Looks like there was an upset because the NFL voted for Tampa over Atlanta and Houston to be the site of the Super Bowl in 2009

I can't believe they choose Tampa.
Last time they had the game there, fans and owners complained to all hell about how far the stadium was from hotels and the downtown scenes.

Oh well I'm a Sugarlander which is infinitely superior (sans RiverOaks) than a Houstonite.
But i heard everybody had to stay in Orlando, and then drive to Tampa, including the NFL people not just fans.
