I have a question.....

Lets say things wind up perfectly during the next 3 years..... what chance does Lane have of making it in the NFL?

Folks are trying to knock down any RB that doesn't seem to have a 6-Pac (i.e. White from USC).

Lane (at least I don't think it's possible) wont ever run a 4.4 or 4.3, 40...

Can we expect him to be taken into the league in a similar fasion like Jerome Bettis or will he not make it & be reduced to arena league like Toombs was?

I have no doubt he will be a success in Aggieland & will help us get to multiple bowl games & at least 1 Big 12 Chip....

But this is just something that crossed my mind when I saw a clip on ESPN about White.... I just started wondering how the media, press & NFL coaches would look at Lane who is bigger than White.....

Yeah, yeah... I am about 3 years ahead of myself, but it's just something that crossed my mind.

He will play on Sunday's, no doubt. He's a good kid with a good head on his shoulders.

I think he'll get a shot, but I have no idea if he'll be successful.

Regarless he gives us a major inside threat this season. And he can throw the ball if we need a gadget play.

I really don't know about if he will be successful, but he will get his shot at RB and/or Fullback if you ask me.

I would say if anything he'd be a short yardage tailback, and probably a full time full back (like Alstott). He's got the size and burst to play it...just has to get used to lining up 3 yards closer to the QB.

He may be moved to fullback and be featured less on Sundays.
