Jimmy Rollins had his heat streak come to an end at 38 games. Thats unfortunate. I really want to see someone make a run at Joe D's record.

of course, if rollins had done it, it would not have gone into the record books as the longest hit streak since it would have been over 2 seasons. actually it would have as the longest hit streak, but it would be in a different catagory than joe d's. joe d did it in one season. it probably would have been like a tiger slam.
