Aggies vs Horns - Game 3

The game starts in about 20 minutes on ESPN.

We have to beat the Horns and have to have Texas Tech lose to OU. If they do, we make the Big 12 Tourney in the last spot. Tech @ OU starts at 1:00

6-1 in the bottom of the 4th.

It's 9-1 in the top of the 6th.

The only thing that makes this easier is knowing that Tech is winning 3-2. If Tech wins, this game doesn't matter in terms of our postseason future.

It almost makes me laugh and think, "Did I really expect otherwise going into today?"

It's kind of expected that we would blow the chance or do something stupid, or just flat out get bad breaks...

Man, I never turn off Aggie sporting events when they are showing on TV, no matter what the score, but this is painful for me. I'll watch to the end, but next year can't come soon enough.

I'm still watching too, I won't turn it off just like I won't leave a game early. (If anything it helps ratings and doesn't make ESPN not want to air A&M games)....(???)

But, now that bases are loaded with one out in the 7th...I'm sure I'm not going to like the way this one ends (it can't come soon enough).

Guess I spoke too soon...it did end soon enough. Man...another sport, another "can't wait 'til next year" finish.

I'm thoroughly disgusted. Getting beat by the mercy rule, and not making the Big XII tourny. :o Well, I love my Aggies, so hear is to next year and a fresh start. It was just a tough, tough year. I feel bad for Johnson, I don't know what happened, the wheels just kind of fell off, because we have talent.

I was amazed by the drop-off in batting average for almost all of the players. How does that happen? How do you forget to hit? I'm not going to start a fire Johnson thread or start posting it, but we had the talent, and just could never do anything with it.

Think of all the possibilities. If we hadn't blown an 8-0 lead to Baylor, we'd be in good position, etc.

I don't think I saw one game on TV this year that we won. May be we should just not play on TV.

I won't start a fire Johnson thread either, as I respect him and he has always represented our university well. That being said, I don't think any one of us needs to say it to know what is going to happen. The writing on the wall is in bold print and highlighted. Byrne will act, probably pretty soon after the CWS.

If Tech wins, it'll take some of the sting away in the loss today...it's currently OU 6-5.

That is a very good question. Why couldn't they hit this season?
