I saw that this morning too. And I bet they would build an enclosed stadium maybe with a retractable roof for the purpose of the heat exactly, but I definately put my vote in for another pro team in Texas

I would love to see another pro team in Texas. I guess the Missions would have to move somewhere else.

I agree with everyone else. I would love to see another baseball team in Texas. I hope that they would change the name though.

And they could call them the San Antonio Shamus. That would fit in so many different ways.

I would love to see another pro team in Texas. I guess the Missions would have to move somewhere else.

There's some bigger cities that actually have major league teams and minor league teams in the burbs. I forget which ones but there are some.

SA isn't big enough though to support both, and with a new pro team coming in the minor league attendance would plummet. Hard to say where'd they go, because CC already has a team and minor league baseball has already failed in the RGV.

well i know that the rangers are in arlington and their AA club plays in frisco, about 35 minutes away in the burbs. it has done really well because the stadium for the team in frisco is a top notch facility. from what i have heard, the missions facility is pretty nice as well, so it would all depend on where the missions facility is located in comparison to where the marlinos might play.

San Antonio is one of the 10 largest cities in the US and it's suspected that SA has just barely surpassed Dallas. San Antonio is EXPLODING especially on the northside. There's plenty of people just other sports don't go over so well in SA. My dad's office always got box seats to everything and so we went when whatever that Canadian football team was (SA Texans or something like that) which was only around for a year, hockey which I don't see how they make it, the Missions, etc. I just don't think any other team will make it because of the Spurs obsession.

Wolff Stadium is on the west side of SA right by Lackland and Kelly AFB on HWY 90. The Missions draw in a lot of military personel because of their location. I would think if SA got a pro team it would be located on the northside because of the land availability, growth, and demographics. Plus it could draw in a lot of people from San Marcos, New Braunfels, Austin, etc. There's only so much land available downtown since the Spurs need a new place to play every year.

san antonio HAS already passed dallas. The only problem is, that is all it is: the city. So in SA and surrounding area you have like 1.5-2 million, but dallas and houston metropoli have around 5 million. So the area on the whole is not as big. I'm from SA and would love to see a pro team move there!
