The Texans need to sign him.

The Texans need to sign him.

I am a huge Cowboys fan, but for the Texans to sign him would be a mistake. Houston is rebuilding & the last thing they need is a OG in his mid 30's. They need to either bring in established FA's in their mid to late 20's, or draft them. But signing a player on the decline is a mistake.

Not necessarily when you need results now. They don't have to give him a huge contract --- and he will make an immediate impact. The Texans need to start winning -- or they're going to be just like the Oilers -- playing in front of half filled stadiums.

Allen has at least 2-3 years left in him...the Texans can get him now through free agency and draft accordingly (who wants to waste a draft pick on an OL?!)...

Through free-agency in the future (or draft) they can fill this hole, but for now, a big guy like him would help.

I agree Vly. Sign Allen to a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd. The guy might be getting old, but he can bench press a car. Carr needs him.

Reggie Bush needs someone to block for him. Houston would be smart to sign him.

I love the Cowboys, I love Larry Allen. I wish Larry the best and hope if he continues to play that he finds a team that is best for him, whether it be the Texans or not. But whoever he chooses I'll rout for them.

I agree that we (Texans) need Allen. Our line needs help now and wether he is old or not he is better than what we have right now.

He'll show up with the Raiders, just wait and see. That's where he wanted to go a couple years ago when we were actively trying to trade him. At least I've heard that he's really interested in the Raiders. I don't think he shows up a Texan. The only ties he has to Texas are the fact that he played with the Cowboys, so their is no reason for him to stay.

What if it's the Redskins, Giants or Eagles? :D

Well I'll rout for them to only lose by a few, or for Larry to have a damn good game.
