If he gets advised that he'll go first round as an 'athlete' or has a decent year at quarterback, what are the odds he'll stay at TU for his final year?
I am under the impression he'll stay through his senior year only because he really wants to play quarterback in the NFL. If he doesn't have a good year this year, he'll stick around his sr. year and try to improve.

The only way VY leaves early is if he has a spectacular season this fall. Otherwise he comes back. The more his passing improves, the higher his stock rises.

Young will need to show he can throw downfield MUCH better.
The NFL is becoming more of a smarter QB type field.
Young is far from that.

He needs to start working on catching the ball cause the crap he pulls in college won't fly in the NFL its a complete talent difference from NFL starters to the College players that t.u. yearly plays.

Well Mack Brown has a pretty good record on this and you'd have to say he stays. He'd be next years Matt Jones if declared early

If Matt Jones does bad next year, expect the "ATH" tag for next years draft to go down.
Yeah.

Vince really wants to play QB in the NFL, so as it is right now, it seems that he would stay for his senior year. However it all depends on this upcoming season (of course). If Vince goes out and throws for 2,300-2,500 yards and 20+ TDs with less than 9 INTs and also runs like he has during his first two years, you'd have to think that there would be a good chance of him turning pro.
His numbers are already better than what Vick put up in college and a season like that would look good coming from anyone, much less a guy who can do the things with his feet that Vince can do.
People get too hung up on his throwing motion and what not when it is results that are important. Vince gets results.

Vick had a poor completion % but still had a number of excellent thrown balls his two years at QB.
Young hasn't shown that deep ball ability just yet.

It doesn't matter if Vince puts up better numbers then Vick, Vick proved that he could be defenses with his arm. Vince hasn't proved that and he won't beat a NFL Qb until he does that.
