The NCAA unveiled a list of teams Wednesday that will face scholarship cuts as a result of low academic performance, and the news isn’t good at several Big 12 schools.
Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State will all lose 1.17 scholarships in baseball for low scores in a sport that annually struggles with athlete retention and academic progression. UTA will also lose 1.17 scholarships in a sport that grants only 11.7 scholarships to begin with. reported by the Dallas Morning News

i cant say i am surprised with these schools loosing scholarships. it doesnt hurt my feelings any.

We knew it was going to happen eventually. I just didn't know that it would happen that fast. It will be interesting to watch this unfold in other sports too. t.u. has been known to have low scores in quite a few sports, so I wonder how they will be affected.

1.17 scholarships just sounds funny.

Our scores are good in football now.

They're really bad in basketball. Really, really, really bad. Bottom 10%. So are yours, though.

There's a couple of others were we need improvement.

Unless your football score came up this year, y'all were in the danger zone there.

I would think almost all big time public universities would struggle with test scores.

we have a first team academic all b12, and a second team. Both are starters.

you guys have 2 second teamers, both are nonstarters (havent heard of them at all really). And one of them is an education major.

I'm just saying, your latest complete APR scores, like ours, are rock bottom, at least as of the last reporting deadline.

Yall have not completed your report for 2004 through 2005, but the last report listed us both in the bottom 10-20% in basketball.

Yours will be here http://web1.ncaa.org/app_data/apr2005/697_2005_apr.pdf
when it comes out.

Ours is here now:
