I'm not surprised. Coach Kubiak has said they he likes David Carr. I think Carr has the tools to be great NFL quarterback...he just needs some PROTECTION and some better coaching.

They're better off drafting Reggie Bush and/or getting some better offensive linemen.

Taking Ferguson would be a smart pick, Polish...but not as the #1 overall pick. If the plan is to take Ferguson they need to trade down to 5 or 6 & maybe get a couple of extra picks out of the deal.

Or even better....try & trade Dominick Davis for someone's 1st round pick. Draft Bush #1 & then take O-linemen with your other 1st round pick & your 2nd round.

I heard on the radio in Houston that Kubiak had a video presentation of Carr and spoke of all the mistakes he was making. The good thing was that everything Carr was doing wrong was correctable.

I think it is a smart move by the Texans, so now that they have their QB, it is time to concentrate on the draft. In my opinion the smartest thing they could do is trade it away, picked up several late first rounders and several second rounders in this draft and next years draft. Bush is a player, but if you pick him first, a huge chunk of your salary cap is going to be tied up in 1 player, not a smart move. So now you have a superstar but no money left to find him and Carr an offensive line. I don't care who you are you can't do much without a line. The problem I see, is who will want the pick and willing to trade alot for it? Might have trouble just finding takers.

I can see where you are getting at MarylandAG, but I do not think you can pass up a chance to draft Reggie Bush. The Texans need a running back because Davis cannot stay healthy.
