Just watched it last night. It's a great Scifi (by scifi i don't mean lots of robots abd outerspace scenes). It's more in line with 2001 or Solaris. My disclaimer is if your an idiot don't watch, you have to think in order to understand. Engineers and any Science Majors would love the movie. I'm Business but i guess i just like these things :D

could tell if you were serious or not but, it explains all of what could go wrong with a timemachine (in a way thats not the basic change the present after you kill a bug way).

The box was nothing but a supercooled portal.

Did you like the movie or not CoolAidWade, its very complex at times. Some people i know thought they understood it, but didn't

Truthfully I didn't but I was also cooking so I was back and forth from the kitchen to the living room. About halfway through I realized that I wasen't going to understand it and I need to watch it at full attention.

From what I gathered it's about the two dudes and thiet time machine but some stuff messes up so they have to fix it?

No the messages was you can't fix it. They went back in time then realized the people who were themselves in the past were still living and making the invention. They couldn't be at the same place at the same time. Well the other version of themselves did things differently then they did and caused some accidents to happen.
