There are rumors that Antonie Walker and Gary Payton will be out of Boston and they will be trying to trade Paul Pierce. Any thoughts?
I'm fine with Walker leaving because he is still the same ball hog he was before, but I don't understand why Paul "The Truth" Pierce is on the block.

Trading Antoine Walker would be dumb. He thrives in Boston, but he proved in Dallas and Atlanta that he has a hard time adjusting to a new team. I think he has more value to the Celtics than they would get in exchange for him.
Paul Pierce is the man in Boston. Trading him would change the entire team's dynamic.
I think that Gary Payton's contract ended after this season. If no one offers him big bucks, he will probably either retire or try to go to another title contender like he did with the Lakers. The Rockets and Pistons could both use his services, so I would think that they are the front runners for aquiring him.
The Celtics need a real center, BADLY. Or at least they should get a bruiser PF to compensate for Raef LaFrentz's weak play. They have the 18th overall pick this summer, so maybe they can get Channing Frye or Sean May to beef up their inside game.

i'm pretty sure Walker will be a free agent along with Payton so they could go anywhere. I don't think Boston would be better without him. I just don't like him. I am a fan of Pierce. Whatever type of team they are trying to change Boston into Pierce could fit into it.
