Spurs lead Game 1, 62-35 at halftime. :D

Here's to a sweep.

Go Spurs Go!

This is why I wanted the Rockets to be #6 in the Weat instead of #5. The Sonics are awful, and they will be swept.

The Sonics don't have a chance in hell to win this series, (especially if ray allen and excuse the spelling rachmonivich or however you spell his last name) went down last night and can't make it back). This leads me to another one of my little ideas. Why the hell do we automatically give a higher seed to a division winner with a poorer record than another team that is say in second or heck even third place in their division. I personally think all this division championship stuff is bull crap and that the actual playoff seeding should be determined by record and record alone. This is the perfect example, the sonics have nobody in their division to even come close to competing with them, and yet they still get the #3 seed in the west even though other teams had a better record. Who knows, but if the playoffs were done this way, the mavs would've been the #3 seed and the rockets could've beat the hell out of the suns b/c they would've been the 4 and 5 seeds. Oh well, here's to the mavs making this next series a decent one. Hopefully.

I think you meant the Sonics would've been the #4 and the Rockets would beat 'em. Either way, I see your point, but the only valid argument is, if you want to win the NBA Championship...you have to beat every team put in front of you. If you can't beat a #4 Dallas Mavericks (Houston), then who cares if you would've advanced to the 2nd round and lost then? In the long run, you're better off because you get to draft 2-4 spots higher now.

Yeah, I totally didn't re-read what i had written. But actually i'm a huge mavs fan and can't stand the rockets. That wasn't meant to be pro-rockets but as i read it, it sure seems that way. You're right i meant that the sonics would've been the 4 and houston would've been the 5. I also totally meant for that to say the rockets could've beaten the sonics in the first round. I was thinking about tonight's game against the suns and I guess the two teams starting with an S got my head all jumbled up. But yeah the rockets are better off now, and I totally agree that you have to beat every team put in front of you. I just think the cedes should be done differently. Oh well. Here's one to the mavs winning tonight and starting this series off right.

Spurs route the Sonics in Game 2...108-91.

Wow, barring a total collapse, I think it's safe to say, the series is in the bag.

Actually, for playoff teams, draft order is based solely on regular season standings.

All 4 of the semi-final round series should be blowouts

Spurs lost. it's a 2-1 series. If they win game 4, they'll lock it up game 5 for sure. If they lose, then I'll start to get a little nervous.

I'm officially pissed at the Spurs performance tonight. They had 11 turnovers in the first half (averaging 14.0/game) and they only trailed by 6th. They start the 3rd on a 12-6 run, and tie the game at 52. Then it just gets ugly and the Spurs fall behind by 16...

It was painful to watch. This is the 3rd year in a row they led the second round series 2-0 before giving it back on the road 2-2. Last year, they got swept by the Lakers in 4 straight. They better freakin' win this game on Tuesday!!

Wow, last night's game was awesome! I'm glad the Spurs put it away then...now I hope the Mavs win tonight so it forces a Game 7 and it gives the Spurs a chance to rest and Timmy a chance to rest his ankle.

I know NBA fans aren't as loyal or respectful as Aggie fans (or even NCAA fans), but seriously, in the 4th quarter when Tim Duncan got hurt. I got so mad when the Sonics fans started to cheer...it showed no class. I'm glad the commentators called the fans on it...and talked about how classless it was.
