Can't Sleep on Northwestern State
With A&M's 81-56 win over Texas Southern, the Aggies improved their season record to a spotless 9-0. The Aggies have one more game in 2005, and although you've never heard of them, the Aggies won't be taking them lightly. The Northwestern State Demons come in with a 7-4 record. Included in those 7 wins are 3 road wins over Oklahoma State, Oregon State, and Mississippi State. They also dropped an overtime game to Iowa State. If that doesn't get the Aggies attention, then nothing will.
The Aggies have 2 more tough non-conference games before Big XII play starts. The Aggies are hoping to match last year's mark of an undefeated non-conference slate but this feat won't be easy though, as the Ags leave the friendly environment of Reed Arena for their first road game at Pacific. Pacific is currently 7-4 and should help get the Aggies ready for conference play more importantly, prepare them for a run at the 64 team tournament in March. The Aggies need to improve on last year's 8-8 conference record, and that can all start Jan 7th as Texas Tech comes to Reed in the conference opener.
