Who should be the MVP and why?
I say Shaq. The Mavs did better without Nash, than with. Also, i think if the Suns had say Kidd they would be the same team. They just needed a PG. On the other hand the Heat are not a championship caliber team without Shaq and say a different Center.

Sources are leaking that Nash has already won it.

In terms of Shaq/Nash. I think Miami is doing good because of the combination of Shaq and D. Wade. In Phoenix, Steve Nash carried that team. Being on a good team with another good scorer probably hurt Shaq a little in terms of MVP worthiness.

WOW! Marion and Stoudemire are very good players. I reitterate, put Jason Kidd, Manu Ginobbli, or any other good passing guard on that team and nothing drops off. Nash is a terrible defender and is Canadian. Why did the Mavericks get better with Terry instead of Nash. Is Stackhouse, better than Jamison? Does Eric "Overatted" Dampier make them better?
Shaq changes the game both offensively and defensively.
Oh and i realize that they said its Nash, I just wanted to see if other people thought he was most deserving of the MVP

Nash takes it even though he doesnt have the stats of other players.

I voted Nash for this reason. I think it is close between Shaq and Nash, but I have seen the Heat do well without Shaq, mostly due to Wade, but Nash is the Suns, without him, they have really struggled, so I ask myself, which one of the two is the most important to his team, and I have to lean toward Nash, but it is close :D

When are people going to learn that the MVP award is a season award, not a lifetime award.
Here's Stan Van Gundy upset about Shaq getting snubbed:"If you went and asked any general manager in the league for the past dozen years who's the one player they'd want to have, they'd say Shaquille O'Neal," Van Gundy said. "And he's been selected by you brilliant people in the media, selected as the most valuable player in the league one time. Once? Only once?"
First of all, I bet most of them would say Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, or Magic Johnson before they say Shaq...but....when Shaq doesn't win the MVP, it's usually because somebody has a better season than him. Regardless of how well he's done, or how many rings he has, etc.

I would have voted Nash number one, then Allen Iverson second, Dwyane Wade third, Shaq fourth and T-Mac fifth.

Nash was throwing some CRAZY passes last night. That was freaking cool. He is a basketball freak.
