Personally, I've never liked the guy. But, after last night, I am real glad to have him on my fantasy team.

Points: 62
FT: 22 of 25
3PTM: 4
REB: 8
STL: 3

And that was in 3 quarters of play. He didn't even play the 4th.

That was insane. When he left the game, it was Kobe 62, Mavericks 60. He f'ing outscored the opposing team my himself!

Phil Jackson is getting bashed for taking kobe out in the 4th quarter and I agree he should have stayed in. That will go down as one of the greatest performances of all time, especially since it was from a guard and not some center who was six inches taller than every one else (wilt chaimberan). Kobe could have scored 80 points which in todays game would have been absolutely amazing.

I think taking him out was the right move. Yeah, it would have been cool to see him get 80, but they were up by 30 when he took him out. Sure, it would have been amazing to see it in today's game, but it was the sportsman thing to do.

It would have been amazing to most people to see OU hang 150 on us in 2003, but aren't you glad they didn't.

I think taking him out was the right thing, not because of sportsmanship, but because you don't want to risk and injury.

Personally I think Kobe is a POS, and it's not even really b/c he completely raped the mavs last night through 3 quarters. If the mavs would've just had everybody cover Kobe he wouldn't have passed the ball and they could've stopped him. He is the biggest ball hog selfish player i've ever seen. He wants to be compared to Jordan, but the problem is Jordan got the rest of his team involved in the game. Kobe does none of that. It actually makes me sick to watch him play. He should just go play street ball or whatever ESPN calls that stuff the show. Nobody could stop him and it would be great.

Kobe is one of those guys who would have done much better for himself if had had a couple of years in college, IMO. Not so much for basketball skills, but for life skills.

Kobe took himself out of the game...it wasn't Phil Jackson (at least that's what I heard on sportscenter today).

Phil Jackson is a figurehead whose only job is to develop LA's younger players. Kobe is the head coach and general manager.

And yes, he's the alltime biggest ballhog. Has anyone ever scored 60+ points and had ZERO assists?

Ok so if we were to compare who we all think is going to be the closest to Jordanesque status, Lebron or Kobe. I definately am gonna have to go with Lebron.

Agreed, Lebron hand down.

Hand down? WTF? You get the other stuck in a paper shredder or something? Hope you took the accidental death & dismemberment rider on your life insurance policy.

Damn Dustin, I didn't know the plural police were out today. Just b/c you are stuck in Lubbock with the in laws doesn't mean you need to take it out on Aggiefans. :)

LeBron is better than Kobe RIGHT NOW, and he will only get better. Kobe is already at his peak.
