Antoine and the Nets

So I got bored on ESPN and strolled over to the Nets message board to see how the Nets faithful think of our beloved Antoine. Well most of them seem to have changed their mind since they drafted him about what a waste he was and how stupid their GM was. But there are still a couple out there who think Antoine is just a garbage time guy who isn't ready and won't ever be ready for NBA play, but whatever. Also I knew Antoine wasn't playing much at all and it seems that Coach Frank is letting him stay healthy for the second half of the season so when the Nets need people in a playoff run Antoine will be full head of steam and carry them into the promise land or something like that. Just thought it needed posting, havent' had an Antoine thread in a while.

I agree polish. I don't think he's starter material. I think he can pick up some time and give starters a little break here and there, but I definately don't think he's starter material at this time. Maybe in a few years he could be, but just not right now

Even if he is a career journeyman, he'll still be from Texas A&M. It's been almost 20 years since we had anyone in the NBA.

Give the guy a break. He is an unproven rookie on a team that's loaded with wingmen. I think that some teams who could really use him could get a great deal on the trading block.
