Here's the breakdown some guy on Texags posted.

With todays loss to OU, KSU pretty much eliminated themselves from the tournament I believe. So its now a 5 team race for the final 4 spots and right now we are the obvious odds on favorite to sit at home with the Wildcats.

Our best bet is to catch Kansas in my opinion, but OU, OSU, and Tech are still very catchable. Below are the meaningful series that we need to keep a close eye on if we want a chance at making it to Bricktown...

Nebraska at *Texas Tech
Baylor at *Texas A&M
*Oklahoma-*Oklahoma State


*Oklahoma State at *Kansas
Texas at Texas A&M
*Texas Tech at *Oklahoma

We need to win 1 more game than TT and we need to win 2 more games than OU and OSU to pass them. OU and OSU can be a big help or a big hurt depending on how they play the next 2 weeks. If there is not a sweep in the OU/OSU series then we want them to both play well the following week. If there is a sweep then we want to swept team to suck the following week again. So, here are the scenarios for us:

If we go 3-3, we need:

--KU go 2-4 (1-2 vs mu, 1-2 vs osu -- very possible)
--TT go 2-4 (1-2 vs nu, 1-2 @ ou -- again, very possible)
--OU go 1-5 (0-3 vs osu, 1-2 vs tech)
--OSU go 1-5 (0-3 vs OU, 1-2 vs KU)

As you see a sweep next week in the OU/OSU series would be huge as it would almost gauruntee us a birth in the big 12 tourney provided we go 3-3 to the finish.

At 4-2 its very unlikely that we dont make it in as KU & tech would both have to go 3-3 while OU/OSU who play them would also have to win 2 games. With a 4-2 finish we would be in in almost any case and we would likely have a shot at a regional as well.
