Tech lost to the University of San Francisco Dons tonight by 18 points. USF is 2-4(wins over TT and Monmouth; losses to UC-Santa Barbara, Stanford, Sacramento State and Pacific).

Texas Tech is now 5-3, with close loss @Wake Forest(which is very forgiveable), but they have a blowout loss to Syracuse(unranked) and University of San Francisco(who most of us haven't even heard of). I haven't kept good track of who Tech has leaving and coming in, but are they really going to be a bad team this year? If so, that leaves A&M's chances of making the NCAA tournament in much better shape, because Texas Tech is a school that we just assume will be there.

I'll second that, if tech has a half way down year it'll help us out. But with Bobby Knight at the helm, they'll still play their butts off and probably win some conference games

I'm surprised to see tech start this season the way they have. I mean...an 18 point loss to San Francisco? We'll see if they get it together once conference play starts. We get them at Reed to start conference play...but we don't go to Lubbock until the end of the season. It'd be nice if we could get a win up there.

HAHAHA!! I won't forget the game last season at Reed...when Bobby got really mad at a call and the student section started yelling "Throw the chair! Throw the chair!" That was hilarious!!

The only problem is if tech has a bad season, any victories over tech will not look good for teams on the bubble which a&m might be.
