any thoughts on the game last night

did the refs bad calls in the end of the game give the Mavs the win or better yet give the Rockets an opportunity to win........ NO but it had a big part because of when it happened. Also a lot of people are missing the fact that the ref called a foul on Howard near the end of the game when Dirk clearly fouled Yao and should have been out of the game. Did the Rockets make mistakes? Yes definitely missed big free throws late and surrendered many rebounds to the Mavs in the early part of the game. The Mavs also made mistakes throughout the game and they had the opportunity to make of that. The bad calls in the end of the game took some opportunities away from the Rockets to win the game.

I think the whole 100,000 fine was interesting to say the least. Usually complaints like this go unnoticed with makes me wonder how much of this is "not true". It will be interesting how it all turns out. Supposely a big part of the reason why he was fined was because Van Gundy wouldn't reveal his source who told him everything. Now if all of this is untrue, why would you fine someone so much for not revealing who said it.

The refs certainly didn't give the Mavs the win, the Rockets botching free throws and making mistakes gave the Mavs the win. I'm tired of hearing the Houston fans complaining that they would have won if the refs had not blown their whisltes. There is no way you can prove that so just let it go, your team shoot themselves in the foot not the refs.

some houston fans may say that the refs won the game for the mavs, but what fan doesn't say that. I have heard mav and spur fans use that same excuse in losses. I never said that the refs won the game for the mavs, the Rockets did a good job of that themselves but the missed/bad calls that I was talking about earlier did take an opportunity(ies) away from the Rockets to win.
