http://www.theticketreserve.com/

Interesting website. You can buy/invest in the chance to buy Superbowl tickets, or NCAA Final 4 tickets, or other teams.

The point is, you pay a small fee now to hedge against the possibility your team makes it (then you get hit by large scalper tickets).

An example, A&M Final 4 tickets are $9. If by some freaky chance A&M goes to the final 4, you're guaranteed to get upper deck tickets to the final 4 game (after paying face value of the ticket). So, in all, you'll probably pay about $100 instead of $1000.

Kind of cool to look at all the times...and if you're brave, it'd be cool to invest in a team (with no intentions of going) - like the New England Patriots and the AFC Championship..and as the season progresses and they do well, sell the ticket for more than the reserve you paid (Because the price will have gone up because their odds of making it are better). <-- Did you follow all that.

If you're brave...go for it. But I think I'll sit this one out.

Haven't gone to the website, so perhaps this is a silly question but what happens if for instance you buy the A&M final four tickets and the Ags don't make it to the final four, are you out your $9.00?

Yeah, you're out your 9.00. Basically, it's a hedge bet...if you have faith in your team..and think they have a shot...

You pay 9.00 now, so in case they do make the final 4, you can get guaranteed tickets at face value instead of paying scalper tickets (because obviously, the normal human being can't get tickets to these kind of events)...
