In Fran's letter, he makes Mike Montgomery sound like he was retarded coming out of JuCo.

We could have wound up playing against him in the Cotton Bowl instead of with him. I remember when we were recruiting him, visiting his juco, and I sketched out a map for him to show him where Tennessee was and where Texas A&M was in relationship to his home in Center, Texas, and his family in Arkansas

If I were in Mike's shoes:
1) I wouldn't trust a hand drawn map from a recruiter...
2) I should know which is closer, Texas or Tennessee to Arkansas

I'm really glad he went to A&M and is now going pro...but I kind of chuckled when I read that.

I really think that was just in jest by Fran. I don't think Money Mike would take it the wrong way, and I think he sort of meant it as a compliment. :)
