Gameday coming to Austin

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else, but Game Day will be in Austin this week for the t.u/tech game.

I knew it would happen, and I'm sure they'll be saying it's the greatest atmosphere in college sports and all kinds of other BS. I'm not taking away from texas, but they are the new team for everybody in the country to fall in love with.

Yep, the national media is just in LOVE with VY/UT and they will do everything in their power to put them in the Rose Bowl. If they win out, they deserve it but if they lose one, the media will probably say something like they had an off weekend. VTech might be the team left out this year if all three top 3 teams win out.

On another note, what is the AP thinking. They leave ND at #9 with 2 losses. I don't care if they lost by 100 or 1, a loss is a loss and they should drop down at least a couple of spots because it IS a loss! I bet FSU and Penn State are screaming because they only have 1 loss. :)

They have been a media darling for quite some time. This is just the first season that thier play on the field has merited it.

Richly deserved too. Two teams in the Top 10, Gameday shows up. Texas deserves their ranking. Tech should be about 15th because they played the 3 weak sisters of the poor for their non conference schedule. Had they played 1 decent team, I would not have a problem with being ranked in the Top 10.

Well, the good news is -- 1 of them will have a Big XII loss and knocked out of the Top 10 or Top 5 (depending on the loser) after this game. The problem is -- who do I root for?

I hate tech, but this is one game that I always am a big red raider fan.
