sorry i was really hoping he could do something new back there. at first i didnt like him much but i was giving him a chance today. he just didnt look like a starting RB. Lane deserved that start and proved it. didnt live up to the small hype. I know it was his 1st game but he got 13 carries and did nothing. what do yall think?

agree... jlane should get most of the carries, leone was very bad (and couldnt hold the ball which is much worse)

leone had a lot of trouble holding on to the ball. That aside, I think he might be better suited as a jason carter type back

07 hit it on the head, i think he's the next carter, he good moves but needs to learn to hold on to the ball. Remember Carter used to do the same thing

Didn't Leone have 4 fumbles in the first half? That is AWFUL. The Lane Train was rolling today, however.

the fumbles on the options were a result of timing. I think that is mostly due to him being hurt. he'll get better at that

leone has good moves and a strong will. He definately needs to work on ball control more, but IMO he's not a good fit for RB. Lucas looked good though (what little we saw of him) and id like to see him get a start if C Lew doesn't play next week

I've said it before on here...I doubt you see Lucas with the start. Say what you want about Leone, but he did something that we haven't seen very much this season...he played with a lot of heart. He ran extremely hard...probably too hard. He fumbled twice on one play & the other fumbles were the result of trying too hard (plus, I'm not convinced that one play where he gained 10-15 yards & lost the ball was a fumble.) It was his first start & he was trying to make the most of it. Javorski on the other hand refused to be stopped. I don't know if this was an A&M thing or NCAA wide, but I heard on the post-game show this was the first time that two guys from the same high school (Javorski & Reggie) had over a 100 yards rushing in the same game.

That has to be an A&M thing, because there's no way that hasn't happened before.

Sorry....half-drunk....same high-school.

that could be true. I don't know how many college teams have running backs and QBs from the same high school. Too bad Reggie Bush and Alex Smith didn't go to the same college

Folks, Leone hasn't played HB in 3-4 years, when he was still in high school. Give the guy a break.

leone may be a good back but i would like to see lane start and get most the snaps. and why not try lucas earlier in the game so we can see what hes got. how can you say he fumbled because he tried hard, doesnt ever back? lane hasnt fumbled and he takes some licks. i just dont see leone being the back that we need!

Here why Leoone will have a job. Lewis and Taylor are one trick ponies meaning they can't run inside. Lane is really only a inside runner so far but he's actually good at it. Leone can do either so it's harder to guard. If he has repeat performances then we need to bench him. I think we need to give him another chance and Reggie and him need to work on their timing on the option
