No talk about the game this weekend yet? I'm surprised.
Looks like Pena will have the start this week. I've been impressed with him what little I've seen (games only). We had a Freshman WR play pretty well last week, hopefully he keeps that up and takes some pressure off of D'Juan Woods.
I'm optimistic as always about getting a win, but is it just the orange fog I walk in? Are the problems with your D "fix-able" in a week? Surely both teams will have some holes sewn up.
Wish it was on TV...

Our board has been down for a while, so we havn't gotten the chance yet.
Any word on what the line is yet?

First I heard there was no line becasue Reid was hurt, but then I heard we are 17 point dogs...

The odds makers are on crack. We are favored by 17 1/2. No way we cover that. With the way our offense has been going we'd have to shut 'em out to cover & there is one too many Torbushs on our sideline for that to happen.

I think we should be favored by no more than 10 given the way we've been playing

I think A&M will win big this week, but only because OSU has no defense and their QB is out(and it's @Kyle Field).
P.S.--Are you coming to the game, StructuralPoke?

One team with no defense vs. another team with no defense equals a lot of sloppy play..not a big win. Their QB being out doesn't mean anything because he hasn't done anything anyway...maybe our QB will be out. And Kyle Field has lost its advantage.
I'll say like I did against CU, there is nothing that we have seen this season to make anyone think that we will win this game by 17 1/2 points. I don't think we lose, but I don't see us winning big.
Are any of the pokes on here going to the game? If so, let me know...I'll buy ya a beer.

Structural, you asked about our defense being fix-able, I think the answer is no  . Huge division of the Ags on this issue some say we just don't have the talent, other half says it is the coaching. Bottom line is we look like crap. Been following the Ags for about 20 years and I can honestly tell you I have never, and I mean NEVER seen a more pitiful defense, we just look clueless. Your QB might have a career day, all the rest with the exception of Whitehurst, have had career days. If your coach throws to the flats on the quick outs, we can not defend that, perhaps because our corners play 10-12 yrd of the WR at the line of scrimmage :undecided . This game is a toss up, who know who will show up.

People say that because our home wins have been close. However, I think that close games are when home field advantage matter the most. Had we played Baylor in Waco, we probably would have lost.

Until we start selling the place out on a regular basis, it'll be nothing like it used to be & until its like it used to be, its lost a lot of its advantage.

Dustin's right, there's still some advantage but it's just "home field advantage" we don't seem to really have the "kyle field advantage" anymore

Case & point...remember the OU game last year? Thats how it used to always be. Every single game, no matter who the opponent was. Thats what made Kyle the feared place that it used to be. You'll only see Kyle like that this year for t.u. & thats going to be a maybe.

Probably the best instance of Kyle adantage from when I was a student was the 2002 OU game. That game was insane, I almost passed out from yelling several times. No way we would have won that game without the 12th man, no even close.

The offense will win or lose the game for us. The defenses will probably be a non issue. Frankly I wish we would just toss out several fish DBs and take our chances.

Well the probelms with our D havent improved any from last year, in fact they've gotten worse. So no, I seriously doubt our defense will be fixed. I hope i'm wrong but I expect your qb, whoever it is, to torch it up against our horrible pass d. I see this game going like the smu if the offense shows up, but im not even confident in that right now. I guess well see on sat :)
Since its not on tv, you can go into the radio link above and listen to the game with good ol dave south on 96.1 (thats of course assuming that there is no radio coverage of the game up there)

Loftin and Dustin: No -- not going to make it this year. I thought about it, but it just didn't work out. Maybe in a few years it will be a different story.
EconAg05: Thanks for the link, but we do have radio here. At least we have that going for us. I wish they would delay the radio broadcast just a few more seconds so it would synch up with the TV better though. I've always enjoyed the radio call better than the TV call.
Maryland: I'm not sure if we are capable of throwing the short/quick balls. Pena seemed pretty relaxed so he might be able to, but Reid still gets a little excited and either hits the ground 5 yards in front or the 2nd row. We did have some good long balls out of both though.
I think Kyle will be a big advantage for you guys this week. We haven't played any away games yet (unless you count the empty stadium against FAU). The noise will be a factor I'm sure -- moreso if Pena is playing (and it still sounds unsure). Missouri ran all over us last week, so I hope we can fill those holes. Donovan Woods (old QB) made some pretty good plays from Safety last week -- one being breaking up a 4th dn conversion pass. Sounds like they be moving him to LB now. (?) I bet he wishes thye would put him somewhere and leave him there. We finally started giving the ball to our big guy last week. He had some pretty good, tough runs.
Anyway -- gotta get back on my head now....

CFN Prediction - OSU vs. A&M
Oklahoma State (3-2) vs. Texas A&M (3-2) 2:10 p.m. ET
Why to watch: The winner will quickly turn around its plummeting season, while the loser will likely be in big trouble in the hunt for a bowl and the number two spot in the South. Oklahoma State is coming off home loses to Colorado and Missouri, but the offense finally got moving a little bit last week offering a little bit of hope for the rest of the Big 12 season. A&M got thumped 41-20 at Colorado last week looking lousy on both sides of the ball causing Aggie fans to start grumbling a bit about the state of the team under Dennis Franchione. This is supposed to be the east part of A&M's Big 12 schedule, and it needs to start playing like it.
Why Oklahoma State might win: All of a sudden, Texas A&M's pass defense has gone bye-bye giving up 398 yards and three touchdowns to Colorado's Joel Klatt, 222 yards and a touchdown to Baylor's Shawn Bell, and 378 yards and three scores to Texas State's Barrick Nealy. Oklahoma State's passing game has been among the worst in the nation, but it showed a spark last week against Missouri when Al Pena came in. The news gets worse for A&M; starting strong safety Japhus Brown is out for the year after injuring his knee.
Why Texas A&M might win: Oklahoma State has played some of the worst teams in America, along with Colorado and Missouri, and it's run defense is still allowing 183 yards per game. A&M QB Reggie McNeal is coming off one of his worst performances as an Aggie in the loss to Colorado being held to minus-12 yards, but that'll all change this week. OSU gave up 184 rushing yards, and a 21 of 27 day for 193 yards and a touchdown, to Missouri's Brad Smith. McNeal should have similar success.
Who to watch: With Oklahoma State starting QB Bobby Reid hurt, head coach Mike Gundy is keeping mum on what he's going to do. Season starter Donovan Woods was totally ineffective and moved to safety, but he could step back in to the starting role if needed. Most likely, the job, for now, will go to Al Pena, who came in and completed four of seven passes for 64 yards and a touchdown with an interception. For Texas A&M, one of the biggest injury problems is at running back, where Courtney Lewis will likely be out again this week. Samson Taylor ran 13 times for 40 yard against Colorado, but he's more useful as a receiver.
What will happen: This won't be a pretty game, but McNeal will be McNeal again leading the Aggies to a double-digit win.
CFN Prediction: Texas A&M 28 ... Oklahoma State 16 ... Line: No Line | Make your pick and compete against others
Must See Rating: (5 lock yourself in a room to watch - 1 Freddie) ... 2

I hope everyone collected on the lock of the decade (mizzou). I did and it made losing almost tolerable. I was wrong about the 1st half under, we were determined to give them that last score before the half. The second half was as predicted though (over). I will admit that i didn't think osu would score so much. Who could have predicted that our coaches would finally pull their head out and utilize willis. I've been saying more, more, more for 3 years. Hell this year i think we should put him as the tailback some. He plows people and would look like mike alstott. Finally, after 1.5 years we give the only passer on campus his shot. thank god.... remember last years game, we were down and still wouldn't pass and was running out every play clock, even early in the 3rd qtr. Now to saturday, the necking crew is gone and the 12th man is down to 11.1 and the pokes showed that they can score against thin air so i'm excited and 17 is way to many. I'll take the pts and the over (possible track meet) 37 to 34 the last team to have the ball wins. go osu!!!!!!!!!!
