We need to throw out this week because the site was down on Friday when I usually submit my picks.

I actually thought about that Dustin, I know you would have submitted your picks. I'm not sure how to proceed this week either since it is already Wednesday and I was just able to post the game about an hour ago. My worst fear is that the site will go down again.

This all comes back to posting on a thread or PMing the picks. The only reason I wait until Friday's or later to post my picks is because I don't want everyone to see who I'm picking....oh well....its only money....now if I don't win I'll just blame the site.

I'm in a quandry here, I realize the site downtime hurt some people, as far as placing their picks. At the same time I can't punish the posters who picked early. Some made a big jump this week and it would not be fair to just eliminate the week. I'm open for suggestions on this. I was thinking maybe we could come up with a plan for extra points to give those who missed last week a chance to come back. I'm open for suggestions on this, if anybody has them. Obviously none of us could have foreseen the site going down for a few day.
Forgot to say, even if we would of been PM the picks we woud have still been up the creek since the site was down. I truly hope someone can step up to the plate figure out a way to level the playing field from last week. :)

I have the best scenario possible...how about at the end of the contest (the entire year, not the first half) you throw out everyone's worst week. For those that didn't get in for the first week (Vly) they still have a chance & for those that got screwed by the site downtime, they still have a chance. For everyone else, that gives you one week to screw up. Thats the best way I can think of to make it right, Pinche.

I selfishly and predictably vote against the deletion of last week's results.
Question -- could the posters who didnt post have emailed the picks to you?
Yeah.

That is a very good idea.
Also I really don't think you should worry about other people copying your picks. I really doubt that many people do that.

Excellent I'm getting feedback. :gig: Lets see what others have to say. Kahuna, you had a heck of a week, and you made a jump, you are right there for the midseason prize, congrats. :gig: In response to the email question, I don't think they could have emailed them because they did not my email. Funny you said that because my initial thought was to include my email address in the next notice email that is sent out weekly.
Let me say this, I want to hear from as many people that are participating as possible. The one thing that is of paramount importance to me is the following: on other sites the contests sometimes leave alot to be desired, and to keep this professional I wont' mention names, most of you know what I'm talking about. Aggiefans.com goal is to be as professional as possible in our contests, we'd like to have a reputation that once the rules are set, we stick with them. I have thought about this and my intitial solution was the following, please tell me what you think.
Everything stays the same and no rules change, the only changes will be addition of two prizes. A second half of season $25 prize, in other words whoever scores the highest from the midpoint to the end. And a final season prize of $25, with the worse week for everyone removed, like Dustin suggests. Would this be an acceptable solution. I want to stress that this site strives for the upmost in professionalism, and we'd like that reputation to stick. Before anybody asks, $50 extra is not big deal at all. What do you all think?
