i know everybody wants to blame it on the coaches (and some blame belongs there) but the players are responsible for making the plays (dropped td pass, blown coverages). There is definately a chemistry problem on our team.

I heard that our defense expected them to run the ball. Why would they run the ball, when they could throw for over 350 yards??? that made our defense even worse, because we were out of position all night.

The coaching staff has completely lost this team. Fran is not a player's coach. He is a hard ass...some would even say an *******. Which isn't a problem as long as the players realize that this ******* is going to make them better football players & better men. If the players don't buy in & don't believe we get what we have now. Fran doesn't want these guys to necessarily like him, he wants them to respect him & I don't think they do....especially those that were here from the previous regime. The only way I can see to rectify the problem is to get all players in here that understand & respect the way Fran works. Until then, I think we are screwed.
I saw somewhere else where someone said that we should start McGee on Saturday. I think that would be a very good move. This team is all about attitudes (both bad & good) & I think McGee has the right attitude to run this offense successfully. It can't hurt. If we don't do something to shake this thing up, we are going to keep getting what we've been getting & that might mean 4-7.

Good post Pinche, I don't disagree with anything. Let me ask another question, what about the OC and DC do they need to go? or do you think they aren't to blame.

I think they both need to go, unless it is Fran's fault. He may not be giving them the freedom they need to call plays

Maybe they're not getting enough action in the bedroom. I'll go find out. See y'all in a couple of days.

Chemistry between the players as well as horrible motivation and leadership from our "leaders" (coaches included). No-one wants to sep up and be the man. I remember seeing an interview with Reggie earlier in the year where he said that he felt that this team will go into every game expecting to win. IMO you never have that attitude on the football field. Always come out as the underdog looking to suprise people. These guys should be motivated enough with the chance to play for Texas A&M (which all of us would kill for), but obviously thats not enough anymore.

face it atm has lost some of it's glory. You may not like me saying it but for some of the guys on you team (if not a lot of them) Picking atm wasn't because it was atm, it was because it was just another college to go to. I don't see your players playing with the fight that I did after the bonfire. They are missing that fire inside of them, and it is going to take some leadership, new players, or new coaches to get it there. But at this time with the people I see at atm and this includes coaches and players, they aren't going to win any form of a championship anytime soon.

What's up 85, congrats on the win on sat, you guys look good. On the statement above, I will have to respectfully disagree. Those kids aren't just picking A&M because it is "just another college to go to". In fact, if you go back and look, particularly the last three recruiting classes, everyone wanted these kids, in many instances we went head to head with your horns for these recruits, so I have to disagree with you. Something is just terribly wrong with the team.

I think what's terribly wrong with this team is that the coaches can't get them ready to play. I was watching the game wondering if they practiced for the wrong team. I'll agree with 85 only on the point that our program has lost some of the luster of previous years, not to recruits necessarily, but just in general people don't regard us with the same respect they once did. I think he's also right that they are going to have to make some huge changes before we win a championship of any kind.

You are right with something being terribly wrong with the team. I might be wrong. There is just something missing with your team though. I don't know if it's a lack of motivation, or what a lot of people seem to think is the coaching. Maybe Fran hasn't found what he needs yet. And if it is the coaching and Fran is the man, it is going to really suck, doesn't he have like 6 more years left. that is one heck of a buy out to get him gone.

I've never seen a team that looks so okay with getting their asses kicked. They kept showing our sidelines on Saturday and the players didn't even seem to give a damn that they were getting embarrassed. That was more disturbing than the score.
I want to see Reggie or some other senior on this team rip some ass after a bad play. That's one thing that I noticed about VY in the OU game. If his receiver ran a bad route, he would go over to him, tell him what he did wrong, slap him on the ass, and then get back to playing. Same way if he got sacked. He would get on his linemen's ass and then get them remotivated. I want to see this kind of leadership out of Reggie. Reggie might have better skills overall than Young, but he is no where near the caliber of leader that he is.

My Aggie brother jokingly said that he was going to start earmarking his monthly athletic contribution to the "Football Coach Severence Package Fund". He was just joking though and is not ready to call for Fran's head... yet. He is definitely ready to see your DC go though.
Oh, and I agree with the statement about the team being OK about getting their asses kicked. They didn't seem the least bit pissed-off about the score or the way they were playing during the game.

The thing that really pissed me off, is that in the 3rd quarter, we're getting our asses kicked and somebody on their team said something Reggie and he was laughing it up. If i was getting my ass kicked to that extent, I don't care what the hell somebody said to me, i would NOT be laughing. I don't think i would even smile to the extent that a TV camera could pick it up. Somebody needs to kick somebodies ass, and get this thing turned around.

You just described Stephen McGee from what i've seen so far. he's a leader Reggie is not.
One question though, who calls the plays Fran or the OC, whoever does needs to give up his control. Oh and Fire Torbush
