The anti-Fran movement needs to get rolling. The fact that a great program like Texas A&M is playing so bad is simply disgusting.

I think that's a very dumb website. It's easy to post the negative and not the positive. Skewing stats is easy and I want no part in. :)

Or the fact they don't mention that last year we were top 5 in turnover differential. (but they pointed out we were in the bottom in 2003)

You can spout weird stats all day, but here's what matters:
Texas A&M has the talent, facilities, funding, tradition and fan support we need to be a top 15 team.
Coach Fran has failed to reach this team's potential. He is 14-15 overall as A&M head coach, including the worst loss in school history(77-0), a loss to Baylor, and he has yet to beat our rival.

I didn't look at the website, b/c i don't really get into the whole fire our coach websites and what not, and by no means am I at this point calling for Frans head, but i think some serious changes probably need to happen if we are going to be competitive for a championship, whether that be Big 12, or even a mythical championship over the other Big 12 schools in Texas.

From stats to interviews, and whatever else you could think of. So keep supporting the ags and BTHO osu

I am an Aggie all the way, a die-hard fan. I will go to every home game, every season and cheer for the Aggies no matter what. Don't mistake my position that we need a coaching change for disloyalty. I am loyal to Texas A&M and our teams, but I feel that Fran is hurting our team and must go. Wanting your team to make the changes needed to improve is not "jumping on and off the bandwagon."
I was optimistic and one of the few who backed Fran's decision-making after the Clemson loss. I was one of the few who was extremely optimistic and downplayed the TxSt and Baylor near-losses. However, after the Colorado game, it is abundantly clear that Fran can't do his job. The players don't like him. If RC Slocum spent the rest of the season on the sideline, even as assistant coach, I think we would see Reggie make the transition from "good" to "inspired."

(12thman) I agree totally but i will always follow the ags and think they can win every game. something does have to change, what im not totally sure yet but im sure we will figure i tout and get rollin again. i do know that all this negative talk does affect the players and there mood, you can see it in the way they talk about the team or game. have to support them no matter what

It has nothing to do with Reggie being inspired or not...it has to do with pissing away enormous amounts of talent. Reggie's problems aren't Fran's fault. Reggie's problems are Reggie's fault.

I have never forgiven Slocum for burning Reggie's shirt. That was so stupid. He had a break out game against OU but is it worth it now?

Wade, if you will recall, Reggie came on against - Virginia Tech. Talk about being tossed to the wolves. Our offensive ineptitude with Babers as OC was all too apparent in that game.
I have always wondered what might have happened had Sumlin been named OC instead of Babers from the outset. But then again, Babers had just come from Arizona, where they had just lit everyone up in a 12-1 season.

It seems like all the coordinators/coach we get come from great backgrounds and then SUCK here in aggieland. So, are we a blackhole that makes good coaches horrible? Talent level is out of the question, because they all compare to about equal.

That's a damn good question. Does anyone know how many OC's and DC's we've had in the last 10 years? I'm too lazy to look it up.

And the ones that have sucked here have gone on to be pretty good coaches at other places once they left. Lots of people thought Hankowitz (sp?) sucked and I would venture to say that he's done pretty well for Colorado.

yeah I think we are a black hole...maybe we should get a coach that sucks at a pretty good school, and then he'll be awesome for us....Ok so lets start talking to Wannstedt

Let it be known that some of us knew Fran wouldn't work out over 2 years ago.

I'll give you that. However, you have to conceed that anyone can be right when they claim something far enough out.
For all his ups and downs it hasn't been the right time to fire him until this year.

Yeah, and now in retrospect, thank goodness RC burned Reggie's shirt, otherwise, we would not have beat OU that year, and Reggie still would have never really done much under Fran.

I agree in some respects, and I generally don't like a lot of "I told you so posts" because anyone can do that given enough time. Still, NEVER should Fran have gotten the extension. I don't care if 50 schools were calling BB in 2005 to talk to Fran, we should have waited. The fact is, we have never had a good season under Fran. Loftin and I both had our disappointments with Fran immediately after the Colorado game that year. I'm pretty quick to throw in the towel sometimes, but I've been sure Fran was garbage for a couple years now.

Loftin, you may have "predicted" it two years ago when we sucked, but last year, when we were 9-3, you backed off your prediction. Didn't really stick to your guns there guy...
You did complain about coaching every time we lost, but you never said he needs to go...

Actually, I never backed off my opinion that Fran needed to go. Even though we were 9-3 last year, we should have at least been 11-1 if Fran had remembered that we had a 280 pound TD machine at RB.

Agreed. Loftin is the most consistant guy I know, even when he's completely wrong. In this case, he knew Fran was bad. It didn't take a genius to know that.

Well alot of people didn't really like Fran but two years ago knew he wasn't going anywhere and tried to make the best of it. You have to work with what you have. Why bitch about stuff you can't change?
Now, we all know he's gone and can verbally say he sucks ass and be optimistic about what's ahead. It's different.
