I have to be honest, and I mean no disrespect to C. Lewis. I'm ready for the other backs to get a shot, lets see what Samson, Lucas, Lane can do. I have a feeling we will be pleasantly surprised. Anybody hear anything about his?

I wish, give me the Lane train and Alexander up the middle all day baby.

Although if it gets to OT i'll be pissed

Pfugerville, I also think it will be interesting if true, and I mean interesting in a good way if you know what I mean ;) ........................................

I agree. I would like to see what our young studs can do. Maybe it will light a fire with the team and get them back on track.

Maryland -

Didn't you post this on Texags this morning too? Did they take it down? I went over there to see if anyone had said anything and couldn't find it.

I'm sure they took it down. Remember, texags rules state that you are not allowed to actually discuss sports on their website.

Oh yea, i forgot...has anyone ever figured out what you can and cannot say over there? Other than Miss Cleo?

Lane = the next Toombs?

Probably not, but this kid has done nothing but get first downs and touchdowns every time he comes into the game.

Yep Diver, I saw it on the Scouts board, posted it here first, then went to TexAgs and posted there because curiosity got the better of me. It was taken down within minutes. First time I have ever had a post removed, and I'm always respectful over there. I don't know what I did wrong. Anybody know anything about this?

I had my first post removed today. There was a thread on the GB titled "When will you leave Texags" asking when posters will stop posting there. I simply said they should stop now and go to Aggiefans.com. I pimped the picke'em contest and the hotties forum. It stayed up for a while, but I don't know how long.

Okay, I found out what I did wrong from another poster, you can't post unannounced, rumored, or unsubstantiated injurys. Maybe for fear that the other team might see this. What are everyones thoughts on this, should something like this not be posted?

I understand not wanting to give the opponent an upper hand, but do teams really have people sitting and reading message boards all day? and if they do, how much weight to they give to the stuff they read?

This could just be a rumor based on the one comment that Courtney made in his post game press conference about his ankle being hurt. I can't find out anything for fact & no body is really talking. I'm sure that today's Friday's with Fran will have the travel roster.

It is not a rumor (if you are talking about his ankle).....after scoring the TD in overtime against Baylor....Courtney himself even stated that he just had to not worry about his ankle and run. Maybe he was not supposed to let that slip?

I can see why they would want to keep injuries under wrap for fear that opponents may target the injury; however, if it is that bad of an injury, I would think we would be better off putting someone else in. Isn't that the whole reason we are having to do all this carouselling with people in different positions anyway? I hope he makes it, and plays his best, but at the same time, I don't think the outcome of this game will rest on whether C-Lew makes it or not unless he is one bad-ass LB or DB and we don't know it yet.

I'm tired of excuses...put the best player in, who will give us a reliable ground attack, and lets do the damn thing.

I hope he is fine, but I would like to see lane get some more carries to justify burning his redshirt

yea we might as well use Lane more, or at the very least put him in the formation as a decoy. Understandable that he's a short-yardage back, but big backs also make the defense aware that it may take more than 1 guy to tackle him.
