I know you guys have been dying to see who my picks are this week...well, here they are. I'm risking my 5 week, non-losing streak (and 21-9-2 record) on these 6 clowns. Do with this info as you wish, but remember, I'm due for a bad week soon. Is this it? Could be...(but I say this every week). :gig:

And without further ado:

FRIDAY
Connecticut (-7) vs Syracuse

SATURDAY
Missouri (-5.5) @ Oklahoma State
Georgia (+3) vs Tennessee
California (+1) @ UCLA
Ohio State (-3) @ Penn State
Texas Tech (-4) @ Nebraska

On a side note...I'm also eyeing Kansas (+6.5) @ Kansas State...but something about that says sucker bet to me -- so I stayed away. If it had been in Lawrence you could write in the W now.

The Texas Tech, Ohio State and Missouri bets are easy money. I wouldn't touch the UCONN-Syracuse bet with a ten-foot poll. The KU bet seems easy, but rivalries make common sense go right out the window. Georgia-Tennessee and UCLA-Cal are too close to call for me.

There is no such thing as easy money. :)

A 6-team $10 parlay pays $480. That'd be nice if it was easy money. I feel good about these games. The trend says I miss 2. We'll see.

Wow a whole day and nobody but Loftin has said anything. :(

I missed it....

They all look pretty safe and your'e doing better then me so far this year. The weaker one is Cal over UCLA.... Just because they are Pac 10 and who knows how either one of them are going to play.

And I can't believe that OSU is so low over Penn St. Are they downplaying OSU are really upplaying Penn St? Although Penn St. is on a roll.

Texas Tech: "You can't stop them, you can only hope to contain them." But they are playing in Nebraska against a pretty stout defense.

Wow a whole day and nobody but Loftin has said anything. :(

had to get home from work, but I have plenty to say. The Missouri - Ok.State game looks like a BIG play for me this weekend. I really think Oklahoma St. is just plain awful, and at worse with home field advantage, they lose by a touchdown to Missouri.

I think Ohio St. could get you in trouble. Their defense is good, but they are at an undefeated Penn St. This is the first game in years that Penn St. fans have to cheer about, and I think their team has the confidence to overcome the Ohio St. defense.

UCONN, I might be inclined to take the over instead of picking against the spread. UCONN has made me money over the past two years though, maybe they are good enough to cover. Carrier Dome is overrated also. Fans suck at syracuse when the team is down.

Cal looks good, Georgia should win....even with Claussen in the game.

Good luck with the bets...make some BIG money! :gig:

Had a nice night.
NC St. / GTech.....Took the under for the 1st half and the game. Also took the money line on NC State. Only loss was taking the points on NCSt. for the 2nd half.

3-1 today
4-1 for the week (took a parlay with NTexas points and the under 2nd half)

Lets hope for a big weekend! :gig:

Great job True Blue Aggie! :gig: I would've recommended GT (and they should've pushed the spread) in the game, but was nowhere near confident in that one -- hence it didn't make my Top 6. Who you got this weekend? You should post your picks...

Heck, if we have a good enough season, we can come back with a better's corner and post our picks/recommendations for the weeks...have a handicapping contest or something!

Everyone is right about mizzou, every betting dollar i have will be on it. I watched the first half and 2 or 3 possessions, then left for the first time ever. (so i wouldn't puke in the stadium). We no they suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. can't run or pass, only 1 receiver. they couldn't even get a first down. the school for the blind would beat them by 10. they had around 50 yards on 24 1st down plays. I can't even tell what kind of offense their trying to run. 4 decoys on the left and dont even look that way, no deep balls or crossing routes, nothing but qb draws. I must go puke now. oh!! mizzou and the under are locks of the decade. 1st half under, second half over, 34 to 10 ( def td)

I'll work on my picks tonight and post them up. I can at least post up the overall plays (full games) but I do make a lot of first half / second half picks.

Makes watching NCSt./Gtech fun..... :gig:

I'm leaning a little towards Nebraska myself. I think their defense will keep the score fairly low. Nebraska wins 27-24 in a thriller.

PL Ag....you got robbed. Offensive Linemen should always just fall down when they get an interception.

As for me, called the OkSt. game, the Penn St. game, UConn....hopefully others made money also.

As for my picks, since AggieFans was down, I was not able to post my plays....they were.....

I should've quit while I was ahead this week. I was 3-0 going into the night games. Then Tech blew their lead (didn't cover by 1). Then Cal blew their lead (gave up 19 points in the 4th quarter). Then Ohio State just sucked it up.

It wasn't a losing week. But 3-3 isn't too great (and I probably should've been 5-1). Overall record is now 24-12-2...

The Afternoon...
Seattle/St.Louis Over 24
Colts/49ers -4 1st Q
Carolina -2.5

3-2 today with a teaser pending plus the plays above.

Went big on the Green Bay pick. Was nice to see GB win finally, and big for that matter. :gig:

I like the Carolina pick...

How'd you finish up True Blue? What sportsbook do you use for yours?

Do you just use one?

Vlyrock
10-09-2005, 09:39 PM
Anybody ever use "live wagering". It's pretty cool -- you can bet on every single play (like whether it will be a rush/pass, if they'll have a first down, if they'll return the punt past the XX yard line...).

It's pretty cool. I'm up $6 in the Cincy/Jax game. Nailed the Jaguars drive. (doing $1 bet each time)

Still hope for the Sunday night plays, but the afternoon plays ended at 5-3. Teaser pick is ongoing till tomorrow.

Made plenty of profit on the single plays, but lost money on the possible parlays. Someday I will learn...... :(

Still picked well enough to do it all again next week with the same amount of money.

Vlyrock
10-09-2005, 09:47 PM
Yeah, Parlays are sucker bets. I've learned to save money using "if" bets.

Where do you do yours at?

True Blue Aggie

Sportsbook.com
One of the safest books on the internet....publicly traded, large user base....

How is your day looking?

Vlyrock
10-09-2005, 09:58 PM
My day's over (sort of). Went safe and only did Carolina. Doing some live wagering on Cincy/Jax. Pay off is +555 if the Jags get a field goal on this drive. (hope they do).

You should consider checking/using 2 sportsbook. I did sportsbook.com and Bodog.com. Normally, you can find a .5 to 1.5 point difference in the lines. (bet whichever one is in your favor)...

Vlyrock
10-09-2005, 10:06 PM
If you want a referral for Bodog, let me know. I'd get a nice bonus too. ;)

CoolaidWade
10-09-2005, 10:26 PM
I use Bodog as well. I might try using two sportsbooks since I'm thinking of cashing out some of my account. I have built up alot of cash over the past two months from their sportsbook and poker client and don't bet near that much on a given weekend now so I might as well. It's just sitting in there.

And I think Bodog is pretty safe as well since it's not going anywhere. They have bet over 3-5 billion dollars in bets and their net worth is right at a billion so i'm thinking it's pretty stable.

Wade, I can send you a referral to sportsbook.com if you want. I've noticed (like I've posted before) that you can get extra points in your favor by using 2+ sportsbooks. I think I'll make a thread each week comparing about 3 sportsbooks.
